Gordon talks about his injury

Here is the story I wrote for today's paper about Drew Gordon's injury.
Also, I spoke to him about what he was missing by not playing with the U-19 national team.
"I'm missed some of the best workouts of a lifetime, in the high altitude (in Colorado Springs) and in New Zealand,'' said Gordon, who also looked at the positives."I'm home for my birthday, home for the fourth of july, things I have missed since I was a freshman in high school."
Gordon also talked about what is was like waiting for the test results. He was injured Tuesday, but didn't know the results until Thursday afternoon.
"Both nights were difficult. ...You don't know what was happening," he said. "I did sit up for a while and think of what possibly went wrong. I was hoping for tendonitis and I could tape it up."

A good line: "I'll just pretend the Men's Gym (at UCLA) is New Zealand,"

Men's Gym was great when I was student years ago.
