What? UCLA/USC is on regional cable? At night? What a blow to this rivalry....

Wow. No ABC for USC? That's incredibly lame. Brian, is there an option for ABC (or another national network) to pick up that game later in the season?

I think FSN gets the UCLA/USC game this year as part of their Pac 10 contract. The issue came up when USC scheduled some other conference game on December 5 instead of us playing them on Championship Sunday. The explanation was that FSN has the rights to the UCLA/USC game and they wanted it on November 28 instead of December 5.

FSN just sucks: they have the worst commentaries, it's the minor leagues of broadcasting annoying color analyst and horrible camera direction.

and this is one of many reasons why we gave up our season seats - pro and con.

9 games in a row. Have we done that in the last few years? I stopped going to the Coliseum quite a few years ago when we had to tailgate in a parking structure so I don't really care what time the game starts.

How do you guys not like Petros? I know he is sc alum but the guy is really funny and easy to listen to...

I can't believe this game isn't gonna be national!!! I hope they at least put it in HD. I don't know about you guys but Petros is pretty funny and he's not a total SC homer.

Agreed that FSN sucks. After 15 years on ESPN, the Champions League will be on FSN next year. Not looking foward to that because Fox Sports coverage is pretty terrible. In all honesty, you never really know what you have until its long gone.

As a sidebar, I enjoy Petros Pappadankis. He is a wonderful representative of the Armenian Community. Petros reminds me of a young Keith Jackson. Petros would have made a wonderful colleague as a Barrister, he has great oral skills.

this sux. i haaaaaate fsn with a passion, and ive been saying that for years. now, dont get me wrong, i dont hate the people personally, like james washington, altho he sounds like mickey mouse on acid, seems like a nice enough guy and is a sold-out fellow bruin...and lindsay soto, altho a toejam trOJan, is easy on the eyes in the classic hottie nerdy way and seems nice enough...and papadakis i grudgingly admit has grown on me and genuinely makes me laugh.

Petros is one-halp Greek, NOT ARMENIAN.

I actually like Petros and think he's a pretty good commentator (and sometimes pretty funny). But I don't think he should be doing the UCLA/SC game. Any other game is fine.

I like Matt Smith, but I can't take Petros' constant hollering. I stopped listening to them a year ago. Lawyer John, Petros is Greek. His family owns a Greek restaurant in San Pedro.

CalBoy, the so-called "Big Game" has never been on national TV. Ever. The only TV exposure the "Big Game" gets is on Sports Bloopers when they show that last play from 1980 where your Bears were like the Keystone Cops trying to get into the end zone. Which by the way they never legally reached the end zone so that 1980 game should have been a W for the Farm.

I'm guessing 10/17/09...Tedford just can't seem to win in the Rosebowl. The play was in 1982 and it my opinion was legal. I was at the game and saw it up close. Mariet Ford soured the legacy and can now enjoy retelling the play to his fellow inmates.

I grew up watching Cal football, talk about irrelevant. Last rosebowl was 50 years ago. Last rosebowl win was 70 years ago. Cal sold it's soul to get Tedford, significantly lowered their standards to bring in Jackson and Lynch, and still came up short. Tedford has brought some excitement to Berkeley, but dreams of roses are just that.....dreams. UCLA will get back to the rosebowl game before Cal.
