Here is one more thing from my inbox during my vacation. It is the UC Board of Regents approving the Pauley Pavilion project:

The UC Board of Regents and the Committee on Grounds and Buildings gave final approval at July 14 meeting.

LOS ANGELES – The Campaign of Champions, the most important endeavor in the history of UCLA Athletics, took another step to ensure its success as the University of California Board of Regents and the Committee on Grounds and Buildings gave final approval for the renovation and expansion of legendary Pauley Pavilion at their meeting on July 14.

The Regents approved the project design plan, the financing plan, and the environmental impact study.

UCLA continues to work with NBBJ Architects to complete the final design package in order to bid the project in late 2009, and break ground in early 2010.
