Moya, Paulsen on Mackey watch list
UCLA tight ends Ryan Moya and Logan Paulsen are on the watch list for the Mackey Award, which is awarded annually to the top tight end. Here is the release about it:

John Mackey Award
Manhasset, N.Y. (July 29, 2009) - The 2009 John Mackey Award watch list has been released by the Nassau County Sports Commission. Given annually to the best collegiate tight end, the award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee and the 2009 John Mackey winner will be announced on December 10, 2009.
NFL Hall of Fame member John Mackey is considered to be the best to have played the tight end position. A tight end by whom all others are measured, Mackey was a role model on and off the field as demonstrated by his Super Bowl Championship, his commitment to community and his place in history as the first President of the NFLPA.
The John Mackey Award presented since 2000, lists eight NFL players as alumni: Dallas Clark ('01) of the 2006 Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, two-time Super Bowl Champion Daniel Graham ('02) of the Denver Broncos, Kellen Winslow II ('03) of the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, two-time Super Bowl Champion Heath Miller ('04) of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Marcedes Lewis ('05) of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Matt Spaeth ('06) of the of the 2008 Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, Fred Davis ('07) of the Washington Redskins and the 2008 John Mackey Award recipient Chase Coffman of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hey Brian, is Q&A no longer going to be a feature of this blog?
I understand if you cancel it, it can become too large of a workload. That being said, Q&A was great in my opinion.
An easy way to narrow this list down is to take the players who are on a team with an above-average QB and only-average wide receiver corps.
For instance, Texas having an excellent quarterback is an obvious plus but it's strong receiving corps is a minus in relation to tight end productivity.
Also, having two strong tight ends hurts the stats sheet for both as individuals.
So where does everyone think the Bruins stand?

I'm sticking with my one question per registered user suggestion. It cuts back on Dohn's workload and ups the quality of questions.

that is 3 questions already. and 2 of them are on the same subject.
UCLA needs mismatch formations. Bring in Paulsen, Rosario, Moya, Presley, and Harkey and run twin te + trips one side and twins on the other and just throw it to the biggest height + size mismatch on the field.
Do that for two plays and then bring in Carroll, Thigpen, Franklin, Rosario, and Austin and burn them with speed.

Nice set for Red Zone situations. I'm sure Coach Norm will utilize 3 TEs close to the opponent's goal line, as well as Rosario. Height and weight. Good combo on the opposition's front porch.
doesn't anybody get it? the Q&A was a feature to increase visits/visitors to the blog (like me). This was not done due to Brian's extreme love for UCLA sports.
Web 2.0 media only works when it is inclusive not exclusive. Creating restrictions (only 50 questions; or only registered users can ask questions, etc.) only undermines the tool.
There was probably not enough benefit for the blog (visits/visitors) to continue doing it; especially since it was so labor intensive.

Who is throwing to Gronkowski and is he any good? I don't really follow anything about Arizona.
