Today's stuff
Here is the football notebook I wrote for today's paper. It deals with Sonny Tevaga leaving the program and the newly signed UCLA-Rutgers series.
As a side note, the series with the Scarlet Knights came about when Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel was at a golf outing and met Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti. Both were talking about the difficulty of scheduling non-conference games, and they began talking about possible games.

Considering Woods current situation in regards to the legal system, his choice of majors is certainly interesting.
I like the UCLA-Rutgers matchup. Any time we can schedule a BCS conference foe, it helps the program.
I also hope Dohn is around to report on the games.
YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP...
E.J. Woods comments on leaving school: "UCLA, all together, wasn't a fit for me. The defense didn't fit me. They didn't have my major (criminal justice). UCLA is going to be a great program, but it just doesn't fit me."
I'd suggest that since UCLA didn't have a criminal justice major, Woods decided on 'independent study' on how to deal with the criminal justice system 'on the front lines of the courtroom. Hopefully his defense in that venue will fit him!
Still, I how this kid can learn a lesson from this whole saga off and on the field.
It's time for Q&A ?!!!!
When EJ said that UCLA "makes you take weird classes," did he mean subjects such as college algebra, physics, chemistry, English, and world history? I agree with him. They definitely are weird classes and most likely are not taught in any other Pac-10 institution. Enjoy Santa Monica, EJ.
Just because he has as much ability in the classroom as Bobo has on the basketball court doesn't mean we should mock him.... Oh wait..... it does, what an idiot
heard he wants to play in pac-10 and perhaps play for the trojies. what a perfect fit. good riddance.
