Abele staying on offense

Nik Abele impressed offensive line coach Bob Palcic so much yesterday and today that Palcic asked Rick Neuheisel if he could keep him on offense. Actually, Neuheisel said he begged him.

Isn't Abele a bit lite to be playing OL??

Pretty tough to be on the defensive line when you're 6'7". He seems much better suited to the OL, especially when he fills out that frame.

The last great tall D-line player I remember was Ted Hendricks on the Raiders, but he also played some outside LB also.
