Carnell Lake has his work cut out for him working with young cornerbacks, but he went to the film room in the spring to find out how he could help pre-season All-American Aterraun Verner improve.
``I looked at film and one area I felt I could help was with what NFL scouts are looking for,'' Lake said. ``One of the question marks was that he would get tired toward the end of the game and his technique got worse as the game went along. It wasn't where it should've been at the beginning of games. From spring until now, he's made vast improvements. It doesn't take much with him.''
If Carnell Lake has been able to make adjustments with ATV to note "vast improvements," then ATV is going to be phenomenal this year.

I hope ATV gets some help from the offense this year so that fatigue won't be an issue.
Playing 70% of the minutes each game will tire you out. Hopefully the defense's time on the field will be less this year.

The thing I would like to see is our corners not sagging so far back on 1st down. I swear sometimes it looks like they are a full 10 off the receiver at the LOS. That gives them the underneath 5-7 yard route all day. I want to see these guys bumping receivers at the LOS.
