Have you seen this story? Budget-strapped New Mexico State is looking for people to donate meals for the football team after practices and games because the athletic department cut that food out of the budget. Here's the story.

And to think Donnie Edwards was suspended for accepting a bag of groceries.
Walker said: "I don't want anybody to read into it that we're the poorest program in the country." That is exactly what went through my mind...
How about the coaches taking a pay cut? These student-athletes deserve to be fed properly.
Brendan Warner you look like a genius. Coach we love you, you can come back whenever you want to.
Fan4Life has a point. Aren't the players getting a benefit from boosters that the average student would not get?
How about Pakistani no longer posting? These blogger-readers deserve to be informed properly.
i didnt read the article, but off the top of my head it seems to me that someone in that organization is NOT stepping up. i mean jeez, begging for food nationally?
that strikes an ill chord within me i have to say. people's donations should go to real needs like saving the children in africa whos parents were killed and them becoming a forced child soldier. or saving the child prostitutes in india and sri lanka. ive been to india and volunteered at a school where they literally save children from forced labor and give them clothes, food, and an education. ahhh, maybe i should chill out or something, but seriously, im kinda pissed. my God.
what a rookie move by Walker, it makes then look idiotic. and wait 'till the story goes national. it will be open season.
i find it hard to believe they cannot find some snacks for these young men, and almost as unbelievable that the young men can't find snacks for themselves?? they dont have a few dollars for a snack? their tummies are rumbling but their parents are too poor to send them some snack money or buy them a bag of apples or trail mix? no 99cent stores in NM??
it's so over-the-top-stupid, i am surprised this didn't come from USC.
lol
Maybe Coach said it tongue in cheek. Or maybe it appeared that way, but his mouth actually was full of his players' food.
DW was an asst to chete carroll in the NFL and at USC before was ever a UCLA coach...
as to why would i bring everything back to USC...well if DW is acting like a dumbbell, how could that not remind one of the USC scumbags who are now awaiting NCAA sanctions for their incessant skullduggery?
and can anyone explain to me, how can bashing Southern Cal be wrong, when it feels so right?
