When your owner is the Crypt Keeper, nothing is too crazy or bizarre.
Obviously here, Hanson has "Battered Assistant Syndrome" and is afraid to press charges out of fear of not only reprisal but losing Cable's affections. Being a Raider's assistant, probably has low self esteem and I'm guessing rarely goes out into the public or has interactions outside of the Raiders community.
