Fun in the secondary
Alterraun Verner had a big morning practice with two interceptions and a deflection. It's not easy to get interceptions games, especially for Verner since opposing teams hardly ever throw his way. Verner has eight career INTs.
``It was definitely fun,'' Verner said. ``You can be in games sometimes where you don't get the ball thrown at you because it's mostly a running affair. It's good for us to get to at least practice it so when we do get it, it will be a little more natural. It'll be easier, I guess you could say.''

Were the two and the deflection against 1st team O?
Yes
please tell me out D is just that good and our O has inproved!
Yes, the age old question . . .
Is the defense THAT good or is the offense THAT bad!
We all know the addages -- "The offense takes longer to develop in camp than the defense." AND "The defense is more familiar with the offensive sets." AND "The defense is a more reactive unit, so it is easier to hide errors." BLAH BLAH BLAH
But, every fall camp since the beginning of the KD era and now in the CRN era, we have the offense sputtering through fall camp. So, my HOPE is that the O PROGRESSES through this camp and we can see the difference from prior years. Otherwise, we may be in for another O-less season.
My passion and ever-renewing hope says that this year we will see some marked improvement in the O. . . .
And yes, I believe the D is THAT GOOD!
