Oy, Kia

The update on senior offensive lineman Micah Kia is in, and it is not good.
Kia suffered a torn right anterior cruciate ligament, and will require surgery. A UCLA spokesman said he was unsure if Kia was out for the season - though it is likely. Kia still has a redshirt season available.

I will try to catch up with him after practice.

Well, that is sad for Micah, but I don't know it is all that devastating from a team standpoint. Kia has been an underperfromer and dissapointment. We lose some depth, but if some of the young bucks can step up, it might be a blessing in disguise.

Having said that, again, it sure is a downer for the senior! Best wishes Micah!

With a torn ACL, he is definitely out for the season. Lucky he has a red-shirt season.

Isn't one of our standout freshman OLs going on a Morman mission next year? That would be the blessing in disguise if he could return to form after a redshirt year and help bridge the gap.

It's time to send this Heffer out to pasture. Dorrell's recruits, especially the OL's, have had a knack for injuries and underperforming. He can redshirt and focus on working on his upperbody strength, but I really don't see the point.

The Freshman OL you speak of who is supposed to go on a Mormon Mission is Sua-Filo. However, a funny thing happens on the way to a successful Freshman season. Things change. Look at SC. Coaches and teammates always have a way to convince players to stay. I don't see Sua-Filo going on a mission.

BruinFaithful, have some respect for this guy. No matter who recruited him, or whether he has underachieved or not, the guy has just suffered a pretty devastating injury that is going to cost him an entire season.

I have said it before...BruinFaithful is a putz.

It's embarassing to have this jackass as a UCLA fan.

Hard to take someone seriously who postsw anonymously and is not a registered poster. Nice language jerkoff. This is Football, not badminton sweetness. Maybe you're too soft to stomach it. Maybe you shouldn't watch. Maybe what is more embarrassing is having a Queen like you as a fan. Next game I will bring some Cabernet for you to sip on. If you would like to dissect what I wrote, fine. But coming on here with your childish name calling, as if purely to illicit a response from me. PLEASE!!!!

I don't think there was anything disparaging about my comment. But if you were offended, then maybe you don't have the stones for this game and should instead follow the former. Go grab your blankie and suck it up son. It's obvious you never played the game.
