Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Shoes.

Logan Paulsen, who broke his foot last season and knows a thing or two about shoe issues, said that he should be in the clear with these new shoes.
"I'm a little different from everybody else because I broke my foot last year," Paulsen said. "I have special orthotics, and to me, it's not about how comfortable shoes are, just how supportive these are. It's not like I need to break the shoes in."
Others, however, do.
There have been sparse complaints about minor foot injuries, but nothing major has been reported or spotted.
"They're talking about it, but it's the second day of camp, and they gave us brand new shoes," Paulsen said. "I think as we go, it'll go better."

I hate the white Adidas. Coach Rick, please bring back the black Adidas.

Is Paulsen still wearing adidas? Wasn't there some talk earlier in the year on how it might be related to the adidas brand?

It would be strange if it was something in the shoe considering millions upon millions of people playing futbol wear Adidas. And they do even more running than American football players.

I've also recall past reports putting some of the foot injury issue on the Spaulding turf.

Comparing the stress on feet of soccer to Football is like comparing apples to oranges. In my 10 years of playing football I could not wear Adidas. They just would not fit or support my foot right. Now I didn't have the options with Adidas that these kids do but it seems that the players are not happy with the shoes and have not been for several years

how many futbol players are 300+ lbs and along with the running they also have multiple collisions being pushed back and forth the entire time on the field?

The 3 players who broke a bone in their foot last year were Ben Olson, Marcus Everett and Logan Paulsen. And as I understand it was during non contact situations for Olson and Everett. Not sure about Logan.

From the current reports of shoe issues, I don't recall seeing which players were having problems.

I tried doing a search in Google to see if there was a incidents with other schools with Adidas shoes and the main things I found was a female tennis player out of North Carolina who filed a lawsuit against Adidas for her career ending foot injury AND several reports mainly generated out of Brian's blog from last year.

I have no idea how much torque or strain a world class futbol player puts on their shoes. Too bad BD isn't here no longer to give us his thoughts about that.
