That Sporting News article looks incredibly dumb, if only for one reason: They have USC with the best record - OK, that makes sense. But they have it break out as this:
USC: 10-2 (9-0)
That means they expect USC to go undefeated in the Pac-10 but lose to both Ohio State and Notre Dame.
Excuse me while I go laugh.
