Richard Brehaut runs the second-team offense, but he's not officially been named UCLA's backup quarterback. A decision could come early next week.
``I think we'll wait until after Saturday to see what happens then to see if we need to make a decision after that,'' Rick Neuheisel said. ``The idea after Saturday is to spend a couple more days maybe finalizing decisions, and Wednesday we go into full preparation for San Diego State.''
Both Craft and Brehaut look like "Number 2" to me.
Why make a decision. Let both of them play and should be game decision.
Well, anon 155, you want a clear #2 who takes the second most reps during the season, and gets a few with the 1st team. You don't want to spread all the 2nd team reps amongst 4 other QBs. That's why they call it a depth chart.
A decision needs to be made so that the #2 QB gets ALL the reps with the second-team offense and is thus better prepared to fill in for Prince. I'm glad Craft is being given a chance by the coaching staff.
