Westwood Wednesday – UCLA HOF

For the first Westwood Wednesday, I figured, Why not start at the top?
It doesn’t get much higher than UCLA Hall of Fame.
The Hall was renovated in 2001 after UCLA officials toured more than 50 similar halls of fame across the country. On average, anywhere from 30 to 500 visitors walk the halls every day, stopping primarily in the Hall of Champions room, which houses most of the university’s 104 national championship trophies.
There are interactive kiosks throughout the complex that provide information on more than 16,000 former Bruins in all sports. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, for one, has a college bio, a professional bio and a short video. Also, there is a small theatre that shows former UCLA highlights, at least the ones that aren’t on YouTube.
Here is a collection of pictures from throughout the Hall of Fame, including a personal favorite, John Wooden’s old sweater.
