With school starting today, Rick Neuheisel knew his player’s focus would not entirely be on football.
He was wrong.
Neuheisel said he was pleasantly surprised by the effort today, even after yesterday’s lackadaisical performance. UCLA did extensive special teams work and scrimmaging, trying to nail down fundamentals before installing the Stanford scheme.
Christian Ramirez got some good work in during elevens, but was tackled hard and hobbled on his way up.
