I can't believe you're being paid to write professionally. Your last few weeks have some of the laziest writing examples I've ever had to endure. You could learn a thing or two from Bruins Nation... and they're not exactly known for their high quality prose. You had a good week or two in the beginning, but the quality is absolute **** now.
Please ignore posters like the one above. I can't believe you people complain about the amount/style of information that Jon provides.
Also:
Jon Gold of the LA Daily News ≠ Jon Wilner of the SJ Mercury News
Idiot.
After reading 4th grade's criticism I read the football article again and thought it was quite good, even had some subtle humor attached to it. "You can please some of the people all the time....but not all the people all the time."
Apparently the news about Stanford football has not reached its campus. There were 36,000 fans at its Washington game last Saturday. Apparently football is not cerebral enoough for all the Cardinal 'brains.'
Wasn't Jon Wilner the beat writer for UCLA when he was at the LA Daily News? :)
This blog feels like Ted Millers blog on ESPN.
Word I got is that things went well, but nothing solid yet. I spoke to an insider who said things should start shaking out soon.
Jon, could you give us a rundown on how last weekend's recruiting efforts went? Do we have any 4 or 5 star recruits coming our way any time soon?
