After a pair of penalties killed UCLA's touchdown chances, the Bruins settled for a 39-yard Kai Forbath field goal.
On 1st and 10 from the Kansas State 19-yard line, Craft found Ryan Moya in the mid-flats, and Moya ran it in for the touchdown. However, referrees claimed Logan Paulsen was an ineligible receiver downfield and negated the touchdown.
