Worth watching. Trust me.
Tennessee journalist Clay Travis is, well, a character. Guy should have his own TV show. Here, he sort of does. And he asks five Tennessee sorority girls about Volunteer football. I am intrigued.

Since when did Scott Wolf take over the UCLA blog?
pretty girls? haha, gold you gotta take off the beer goggles man.
also..."horseman"...hilarious..
i thought it was funny.
I agree, Crompton was really helped by the new 15 yards for a first down rule.
Wow... what else is there to say? LOL When the TN university president said they got beat by a better academic school as well, he wasnt kidding!!
DrewB - that's exactly what I was thinking! JG, p-l-e-a-s-e don't become a Scott Wolf. The insideSUC site is a joke. PLEASE keep ours on a higher level and focused on Bruin SPORTS!
...and thus, UTs Interim President's comments about academic institutions personified.
I liked the man's approach for picking up sorority babes. He ain't Bruno or Borat but he's close. BTW, the brunette next to the blonde on the right end has my vote for Most Appealing Rookie. She's already made my first string.
WTF??? Why is this being posted here?
I've never seen so many quotes in my life.
Then I get more SEC analysis than PAC-10 analysis.
Now this?
HILARIOUS. great post. keep up the good work JG.
DrewB/Bob Gomez
Lighten up Francis, not everything in life has to be about life and death, so stop taking everything so seriously.
Jon, I enjoyed this segment, and was definitely worth a chuckle. Great job so far!
Good post, Jon. Got a laugh outta the airheads!
Oh man. This is a mere 30 IQ points higher than a Scott Wolf Song Girls post...meaning that the cumulative IQ's of the girls represented = 30. There are some ladies out there, like myself, who love and UNDERSTAND football. Those girls just set the women's movement back a good 40 years. Please Jon Gold...don't go there.
La Femme, it is what it is. Just be amused and don't turn it into a gender issue. We can surely find several videos of men with equally deficient IQs about ballet or opera. Plus, I think the 'Bims' played it up a bit. I am sure they understood their 'role' in that interview. So, lighten up!
UB -
While I hope people aren't taking this seriously as a gender issue, you do have to admit the irony of making sexist suppositions (implying that ballet and opera are womanly things) to support your assertion that something isn't sexist. (And yes, I'm joking with you because I know you didn't mean it that way.)
My issue is that we're getting very little substantive reporting and analysis of UCLA football, instead getting tons of quotes and posts like this.
I'm all for mixing it up every now and then, and switching gears, but this isn't even funny or entertaining. You think this is worth watching? I would much rather watch you interview some hot prospect nobody has heard of or some interesting scoop. I thought this was supposed to be investigative reporting. WOW us. This is just reporting.
I agree with RD, we need more UCLA analysis and recruiting information. Some deep cover inside stuff. Remember, I thought the name of the Blog was Inside UCLA.
UB is a Spoon-Fed Doosh Bag talking out of both sides of her mouth. First, she pretends to "defend" Jill Painter every time Jill makes an error. UB-D-Bag then pretends to get "angry" with every poster who "attacks" JP, claiming the posters are putting women down. Now, when a real case of putting women down is posted on here, UB-D-Bag says to "lighten up!" because its not a "gender issue". UB-D-Bag cannot have it both ways. A real Spoon-Fed Doosh Bag.
Had to be a UCLA blog that people start crying about feminism and sexism. You guys missed the point. This wasn't about either. Remember the guy called it racist? This was just some sad pathetic attempt at satire, at the expense of these willful girls who played along like troopers. It was obvious they weren't serious. If anything, we could consider them bad actresses.
La Femme, you really think this silly video set the women's movement back 40 yrs.? WOW!!!! That has to be the overstatement of the century. Watch Mad Men on AMC on Sunday and come back and tell me if you feel the same way.
And honestly Jon, I'm tired of hearing about the win against Tennessee. It was a GREAT win, done. Some of these stories might have been fine for Sunday or Monday, but it's Thursday of a game week already. We need to move forward. We need to focus on K-state.
I'm truly disapppointed Jon. We have so many issues this week. We lost our starting QB and CB, and three other significant contributors, it's Thursday already and you want to talk about some freaken UT sorority girls?
How about what Richard Brehaut looks like in practice? How about who's starting at CB? Sheldon Price? Andrew Abott? Both? And how have they looked? How about Prince's jaw and how he feels? What has he been doing at practice? Throwing? Watching film? How about a scoop on what the suspensions might have been about? How about asking the players what they thought about the suspensions?
I mean seriously, just a few thoughts instead of this.
Hey Lady Vol Fan, I'm pretty sure UB isn't a chick. Nice ad hominem attack by the way. Time to grow up.
I am 58 years old, and anything like this makes me feel gooooooood again (SMILE)I will take a win over USC and that would make my year.
I miss Dohn
Jeez. Relax UB and Bruin Faithful. I was just joking about the whole women's movement thing. It is, after all, merely a blog. And I know (or at least, hope and pray) those girls aren't really that clueless and that it was done for the sake of comedy. I get that. My point, however, though not directly stated, was that this post is very much reminiscent of Scott Wolf's gimmicky song girls posts. You know, the same Scott Wolf so many of us have always mocked for lacking any kind of journalistic abilities and relying upon posting pics of makeup shellacked chicks just to get some traffic on his blog. I just kind of found the post to be kind of pointless. I know, I know, I didn't have to click on the link...blah, blah, blah. But hey, there's a comments section here for a reason, right? Just MHO.

That is classic!
Haha, you guys complain non-stop with Dohn and we get a huge improvement and you still b1tch. Amazing. Keep up the good work JG, half of these idiots wouldn't know a good blog if it bit them on the a$$.
BruinFaithful,
I appreciate your candor and your criticism, and while I've tried to stay on the outside and not respond, I feel I owe it to you guys to say something.
I have been on the blog for three weeks, on the beat for three weeks, around UCLA for three weeks, forming opinions for three weeks. Brian Dohn had six years. I do not feel qualified to opine beyond what I've done, and quite frankly, it is not in the job description. I am a reporter. I gather facts and present them. This blog provides a bit of leeway, and with more experience, I will opine more, but not yet.
Do I think this post was a good idea in hindsight? No. This is a lesson learned, and I will not be posting videos like this, even if they deal with UCLA and an opponent that is less than a week old.
Sorry,
JG
This blog has sunk to an all-time low. Did Scott Wolf hijack this blog? Boy do I miss Brian Dohn! Dohn would have never posted something like this.
Does anybody know where Brain Dohn landed? He was supposed to make an announcement after he left, but I guess the DN did not let him do so.
Nice try...but this is not worth posting or watching. I know it seems like a fun link, but what made this blog great was getting UCLA football and basketball information here first. Dohn was not as enthusiastic about covering UCLA but we respected him because he gave us good and accurate information.
Jon,
I understand and respect your position regarding opinions. I will not pressure you again in that regard. However, this would certainly not preclude you from reporting on the REAL issues facing the team this week. Ones I previously stated, i.e. Prince, Brehaut, the CB spot, the suspensions, etc. An update on these pressing issues would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
No worries Jon. You're never going to make 100% of the people happy. Especially UCLA fans. Basically, Brian spoiled us rotten. The free recruiting info, the in-game chats, the Q&As to an endless supply of repetitive and non UCLA questions. Hopefully you'll get the chance to develop your own style and be as successful as your predecessor.
agree with fan4life.
and while brian dohn did some GREAT stuff, especially around the bruin sports news... i think it would be awesome to read your westwood wednesday and other ideas... i hope you get them out there.
IMHO, yea try not to bring the trash that scottwolf brings. besides the fact that it IS trash.. UCLA likes to differentiate from usc.. if you know what i mean ;)
i think as you hang around UCLA and get to meet more readers in person, you'll start getting a feel for your audience and the type of information that would attract them to your blog. it's ok to make mistakes as you've just started... the internets will forgive you, as long as you keep your enthusiasm and willingness to adapt and learn your audience!
IMHOIMHOIMHO :)
I was going to make the Scott Wolf comparison but I guess enough people already have.
Jon,
This entry and link was a good idea. Laughter *is* the best medicine.
If the humorless and the whiners read your description and still clicked on the link then they have nothing to complain about.
Keep up the good work!
Jon, no need to apologize. I thought it was entertaining. Keep it up
