Catching a flight
Hey guys,
I'm out of Palo Alto in about one hour, so I'll try to post some stuff when I land, but I'll definitely have a TON of stuff tomorrow.
Thanks for checking in
Jon

Well, the oddsmakers had this one pegged about right, making Stanford a touchdown or so favorite. This Gerhart guy is the real deal and undoubtedly will be playing on Sundays.
It was a spirited comeback, but college teams seldom come back from a 24-6 deficit, but kudos for making a bit of a game of it at the very end.
It is only the second year of the Neuheisel era, so give it time.
Recall the adage-- don't get too high over victories, and don't get too low over defeats. Bruin nation was getting a little too carried away after three games.
It wasn't Gerhart. If the offense could have moved the ball/kept Gerhart off of the field a little bit then things would have been different...
The Moore penalty that allowed the trees to go up 14-3 can't be underestimated either...
unfortunately for us, that d*mn "Moore penalty" was legit - he's gotta get better judgement, the refs don't do a head-in-the-sand job like they did for malathuga on cowan. sorry he got hurt, but the lesson is - don't malathuga it unless u cheat for the suc team.
The team is not very good.
That was an abomination!I put it on the coaches' shoulders, especially RN. Our team was not prepared to play to win. The offense stunk up the joint!!Honestly, Rick has no excuse for this. We are going to hear a lot about how young the team is and how a few things have to be cleaned up, but this is on him. I am beginning to have serious doubts that he knows what he's doing.
Considering how successful Franklin was running, it's inexcusable that the coaches didn't use the run more. I don't know about this team anymore and Chow has not impressed on a single occasion. Let's see how they play with Prince back.
The offense needs to be handed over to DT, the fastest kid in the game. I smell a new era in Bruin football...
Give it a break, Craft just cannot go downfield. If we are winning games with our back up then we are starting the wrong guy.
Slick Neu- Weasel tore into Craft on the sidelines after his mistakes. Gee, that'll help his confidence.
Look RICK WILL GET UCLA BACK ON TOP trust that! Norm has got to go!
Rick was tearing into everyone who made mistakes. I only saw him yell at Craft once, whereas he was in the receivers' faces all game (and rightfully so considering the terrible route running and timing).
Once again, I see Craft getting the blame even though most of the mistakes on offense were not his. His receivers didn't help him out any and the penalties were ridiculous. Ultimately, Craft played well *within his abilities* which is about all we can really ask of him. That final drive was ugly, but the fact is that Stanford played great defensively, leaving Craft no options.
On the plus side, the team didn't quit and we gave ourselves a chance to tie it against a team that had clearly outmatched us all game long.
