Prince the starter; Brehaut to play

| | Comments (13) |

UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel said in Monday's press conference that Kevin Prince would start on Saturday.
Richard Brehaut, though, will get MEANINGFUL snaps, and Neuheisel is making sure of it.

Bad call, Rick. Start Brehaut and give Prince MEANINGFUL minutes if Brehaut stubs his toe. No 'platoon' QB BS! Just start the young lad. "He's gonna make you proud some day. I promise ya!" (Col. Slade)

And John update on the Twitter Nitwit? I mean come on! If he doesn't get some sort of punishment, it really would suck! Could you imagine if a white player used the 'N' word to describe a coach during the Dorell era? Would he get a 'pass?' Why is it that when a white man uses a racial slur all hell breaks loose, but a black man can get away with it?

And by the way, aside from the slurs, I thought UCLA had higher admissions standards? "don't be trustin us?" PUHLEEEEEEEZE!

Actually UB it was even worse than that "shyt thys n***a norm chow dnt be trustin us" shyt??? thys???

@VB

It is not "our" team or "your" team, because you never went to UCLA. Quit whining and try to finish up your JC classes, get a degree and become a booster; that is the only way you can ever effectuate change. Ranting in a blog post will not do it.

UB (Ultimate Bruin) Author Profile Page said:

I am a booster and can't effectuate sh!t. The UCLA Athletic Department wants our donation, but can't put a product on the field worth watching. So we invest -- year after year -- season after season. You have to be a 'major' donor to have any clout.

To show you how much the AD cares about the fans, we have to go through BS year after year just to tailgate. The talk is they now want to shorten tailgate by another 40%. Then, REMARKABLY, they have a T-Shirt that says, "It's Never Too Early to Tailgate." (At USC . . . .)

Hey VB,

I know this team has been far from great this year but it is still better than last year. Remember the BYU blow out?

VB UB and the rest of the VD Loser clan, you ladies calling for Brehaut to start at QB is laughable. You were the same Baboons yelling for Osaar Rashan to start at QB over Ben Olsen, even annointing Rasahn as a West-Coast Vince Young. That is until you got your wish and Rashan showed you how big of a jocksniffer you and your loser clan are.

If Richard Brehaut is the better QB, then absolutely, he needs to start, NOW, and plan and get experienced.

I am also a Coach Neuheisel fan and supporter. However, what game was it where it looked like Richard Brehaut was going to start, and then all of a sudden it was Kraft who ended up playing most if not all of the game?

Rick, you need to start Richard Brehaut and get on with the master plan. It's obvious that this season only going to be saved with wins the rest of the way, and it's obvious that it's not going to happen with Prince or Kraft. It's a long shot to get to a bowl, so bite the bullet, do it, and start Brehaut and do what has to be done. NOW!!!

The QBs are not our problem. Our coaches need to read up on how to coach winning football teams. If we are waiting for nothing but 4/5 star recruits to fill our our roster and then for them to all be seniors, why not let me coach the team? I couldn't lose. Our coaching staff is dreadfully lacking in talent, perception, schemes, and the ability to make adjustments.

It doesn't matter who starts at QB. The bottom line is that the opponents are going to continue to blitz on 3rd down, overwhelming our OL, forcing the Bruins to punt. There has been little time to throw the ball, and usually the recievers have not even created any separation from the DBs.

Oh, it wouldn't hurt if Chow put in some backs to pick up the blitz on third down either. Having whomever stand back there in the shotgun on third down and long with an empty backfield makes it pretty easy to tee off on the QB.

Chow clearly believes Prince is the better QB. I get the sense Rick is looking for a scapegoat. I don't care who plays as much as I am worried that Chow won't take this crap for very long.
