Quotables: UCLA DC Chuck Bullough
On the Pac-10 having so many good running backs:
"A Pac-10 team is gonna have a great back. That's what you came here for, though. You're a guy, that's why you want to play. You didn't go to a smaller college, you came to UCLA because you want to play in these big games."
On facing Toby Gerhart and LaMichael James before Jahvid Best:
"Those were two different backs - Gerhart was big, powerful and James was quick. My dad was in the crowd - he's a longtime NFL coach - and he said that back was goooood. 'I haven't seen a guy like that in a while.' You watch the film, guys are there and then zoom."
On Jahvid Best:
"Best has got that outstanding speed. He's gotten a little bit bigger, and he brings a different dilemma. The tough thing Oregon did was they make you fit into their gaps. Hopefully here it's not the same."

Good, so does this mean ucla is closer to understanding the concept of an offense.
I agree, need show offense not just comment on what they have seen. Maybe offense is like a unicorn to the Bruins.

Either you're a horrible doctor or an incredibly bad speller.
Jahvid Best has been shut down his last two games. I wouldn't sweat containing him.
Really?
Best is one of the best (if not THE best) running backs in the nation, he's highly motivated from two straight poor performances, as well as from his Heisman standing dropping, and our rush defense has holes in it big enough for Rosie O'Donnell to gain 8 yards per carry.
Yeah, we shouldn't sweat containing him at all...
