Jon, you know what might make this blog more effective? How about answering questions at some point after you post "Any questions?" or words that that effect?
16-24, after yet ANOTHER field goal!!!!
Typical Kevin Crap.
Chow supposedly the offensive guru and yet in this game the play calling to keep Craft in the pocket instead of going outside. I thought he knew Craft is not comfortable to stay in the pocket on pressure situations.
It's a good thing we have a genius coordinator and an offensive minded head coach. Imagine how bad the game plan and play calling would be without them. Great 2nd half defense, too bad the efoort was wasted.
If they don't trust Craft to throw down field (and the way he locks in on receivers, I don't blame them) then why do they start him? I would rather lose with a guy who will be able to get better for the next three years than watch Craft throw 3-yard slants all day.
It's a good thing we have a genius coordinatoran and an offensive minded head coach. Just think how bad the game plan and play calling would be withou them.
Play calling sucked. Where has NC disappeared to. This is no the same guy that guided BYU and $c to record setting offenses. I swear but it but the case of the body snatchers. Just an overall terrible offensive schemes that don't produce.
I don't even know what to say. I hate losing like that...
I thought the clock kept on ticking down even after we got out of bounds. anyone else notice that?
Play calling and to many yellow flags at critical times in the game??????
The clocked kept running on Franklin's run where it looked like he went out of bounds with about 4 change left.
KP comes back next week so hopefully things will improve on offense. For some reason I feel more confidence in the offense when he is in.
Team is young and the QB today was meh. Team needs to focus on getting better and doing all the small things that good teams do, mainly stop giving the other team 2nd chances with bad penalties.

That's one of the rules that got changed last year.
Ball Out Of Bounds (Rule 3-2-5-a-12). When a ball is carried or fumbled out of bounds, the game clock will stop, as always. Beginning in 2008 the game clock will start on the refereeās signal when the ball is ready for play, not on the snap. In the last two minutes of the half, however, the clock will start on the snap as before, preserving the ability of the offensive team to maximize strategic use of the clock.
Chow did much better with USC.
Chow also had a 5th yr QB in Carson Plamer at suc. We have a 5th yr JC transfer. Big difference. At least KC din't throw any INTs. Can't wait to get KP back next week. I think we would've had a chance in the last 4 min with KP. Overall, the best part of the game was that Thigpen looked really good. The worst part was the dumb foul by Moore. I hope he isn't seriously hurt. We can't have both Hester and Moore out.
How is Moore? Any updates?
Winnable game, but this is what happens to young teams. They make critical mistakes, esp on the road. This game felt a lot like those Colorado and Oklahoma State losses about 6-7 years ago ... just getting worn down by a more physical team.
But this is encouraging, we're close.
I totally didn't understand why the clock didn't stop on that pass to Austin with about 2 minutes left in the game. Maybe his forward progress was stopped? Didn't cost us though.
I also was surprised that Chow didn't go with any screens or draws in the 2-minute drill against all those blitzes. Make them pay for being so aggressive.
Also, after all those slants, where was the pump-fake? I thought we were running the sc-offense now?
Chow can only do so much with the "talent" he's working with.
Did anyone see RN chewing out Craft on the sidelines? That's gotta do wonders for his confidence. Shades of last year.
I didn't watch game that much but did he start that chewing out thing again, WOW. I feel that Craft not throwing an INT is great, maybe Stanford is that good will find out in a couple of weeks.
