i think our offense is consistent, just consistantly sub par. i believe what ails us the most is that we are still not protecting our quarterback enough. most of football happens at the line of scrimmage. the o line is the foundation of the offensive success pyramid. and right now it is suspect. good thing we have ward coming in, i am like the way 2011 is shaping up.

What Ails us? The recruiting classes of 05, 06 and 07. No Upper class QB, 1 TB who is a converted safety and the 2 WRs are Ketchum and Austin. The 2 top linemen are Kia and Ekbatani, how much have they contributed? No wonder we have no offense.

Poor strategy...knowing Oregon will blitzing most of the time, Chow and Neuheisel didn't counter them with screen pass plays. The only time they did when Brehaut threw Tight End screen pass to Paulsen resulted in 26 yards play.

What does that mean? Ok, so he takes it and it is his. Where do we go from here then?

Why hasn't anyone mentioned special teams? As the 3rd quarter was starting I mentioned to my wife that UCLA has been a 2nd half team. BOOM, a 103 yard kick-off return? What the... Why weren't people staying in their lanes? Also, why did we give up on running the ball? Even though Franklin was nicked we still had Coleman & Thigpen. Brehaut got thrown in the breech and had the left O-tackle made a block there was a simple pitch & catch to Paulson for a TD. Chow needs to open it up, the Specialty team coach needs to STEP it up. Another game we should have won.
