Who should start Saturday?

| | Comments (21) |

In light of Rick Neuheisel and Norm Chow's decision to start Kevin Prince, do you agree with the decision?
Should Prince start?
Should Brehaut play?
Should they rotate from the get-go, either series-by-series or at least back and forth?

Rick, I'm telling ya! Endear yourself to the Bruin fans. Come out and say we suck this year, and our program is in the future, 2011, 2012. So, you are going to put all juniors and seniors on the scout team (with rare exceptions .. like, Price, Forbath, the Boz brothers, etc.). But you are sitting the Ekbatani, Austins, etc. you are going to play the sh!t out of your youthful talent and get them ready for 2011, 2012.

NO MATTER THE OUTCOME, I WOULD RESPECT YOUR DECISION TO CHANGE THINGS UP. I WON'T CRITICIZE YOU FOR TRYING TO SHAKE THIS TEAM INTO SOMETHING.

This is NOT what the Bruin faithful wanted to hear. "We're gonna stick with the guy that we just gave the hook to in the last game for underperforming." Well, Rick, if we pull out a win at OSU, I'll be the first to say I was wrong. On the other hand . . .

You see, Rick, NO ONE will fault you for trying to mix things up and give Brehaut a chance. But you will be demonized for deciding that the status quo " . . . gives us the best chance to win." That BEST chance hasn't been good enuf in the P10 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it even matter at this point who starts? I'm just tired of hearing words coming out of neuheisel's mouth. Because that's all it is--talk.

Do something. Anything. Just get a win.

VB UB and the rest of the VD Loser clan, you ladies calling for Brehaut to start at QB is laughable. You were the same Baboons yelling for Osaar Rashan to start at QB over Ben Olsen, even annointing Rasahn as a West-Coast Vince Young. That is until you got your wish and Rashan showed you how big of a jocksniffer you and your loser clan are.

And you sound like a real TOOL when you mention in each post that you are in INVESTOR in the team because you donate $$$ and that you are buying a product from the school. What an inbred fool. You probably donate what, $99 annually?? And then when fellow inbred VB tells you that Neuheisal flies around in VB's chopper, you cream your pants and think that your LOSER CLAN owns Guerrero, Neuheisal and the players.

Donors don't own Neuheisal, the players do. Things will keep getting worse in Westwood with the way Neuheisal is running the team.

Coach Thom Author Profile Page said:

No matter who starts at QB, we will lose. Our coaches do not know who to play, do not know how to make adjustments, do not know the fundamentials of football. Open the primer, Rick! Big men win football games. You've got the players. Show some much needed flexibility and play the men that will win you the games. They are on the roster. Basic, physical football. Pittsburgh Steelers know it. They do it. You should, too. Enough talk. Time for positive action.

Am I the only one seeing the dropped passes? The missed assignments? The wrong routes? Etc, etc...

I'm not saying the coaches aren't at all to blame because it's disconcerting to me that there seems to be a lack of discipline running throughout the team right now (on and off the field), but how do you make kids play better? How do you make them stay focused? How do you make them toughen up and stop looking to avoid the hit before they secure the football?

My personal opinion is that you can't. Some kids have all the athletic talent in the world, but they will never be stars because they lack the intangibles. This is the Dorrell legacy. This is the empty cupboard.

I would like to see some player development as well, but what if the players just aren't that good? What if we had a team of mostly duds?

UCLA Football = Clippers of the Pac-10.

Honestly guys, neither were impressive. At this point, I thought (erk, dare I say it?) Kevin Craft was more effective.

Dang, did I say that?

The team seems to be getting worse! Remember the days when the Bruin fans could look forward to a November collapse?

BE REAL do us all a favor and be gone! oh but nice powder puff MAN CRUSH questions last week loser!

Reformed - i agree with the players dropping passes and running wrong routes but shouldn't they get better? maybe they dont have the talent to make a play but shouldn't coaching help them run the right route?

And with two good recruiting classes shouldn't we see a marked improvement? I dont agree the cupboard was bare.

I am a big CRN fan and was very excited with his hire but we need to see improvement! I could stomach losing if i saw us getting better - right now were getting worse!

I agree that coaching should help with respect to running routes properly, but I suspect that if they weren't running the right routes in practice, they wouldn't be in the game on Saturday. It's tough for me because I can no longer watch practices to see how the players look during the week, but I keep reading from reporters how the team looks much better in practice than in game situations.

If that is true, and these kids are choking on Saturdays, I just don't know how you coach around that. I'm not excusing the coaches' part in the lack of preparation, but I honestly don't know what you do...

LOL, a bit more than $99 per year BE REAL. And yes, as a donor to the University and season ticket holder, we are an investor in the program. Maybe we do not have any 'voting' rights, nor do we see a monetary return on our investment. We 'invest' because we care about the University and the program. The return we would like to see is a competitive FB and BB program. After all, our donations and support of FB and BB funded the 104th NCAA Championship by the Women's Water Polo team last year. We'd like to see some of that success in FB and more of it in BB. That's all. Is that too much to ask? And so, if we express our frustration at this team's 0-4 P10 start, suck it up and deal with it.

I'd plan two totally different approaches. One to suit Prince and the other to fit the skill set and knowledge of Brehaut. I'd start one quarterback in the first half. Then, I'd come out with a totally different approach the second half. I'd even use different running backs, wideouts, and tight ends. It'd be like two different games. I'd tell the guys to have fun and not worry about winning or losing.
