Weekly Answers, Pt. 3

1) Is this Brian Price’s last year? I heard he’s going to enter the draft. – Anonymous
I’ve heard from both sides, and my gut feeling is that he stays. I think he wants to be a first-rounder, and right now, I don’t think he is. There are a ton of huge DTs in the draft this year. If he waits a year and improves, he’ll shoot up the board.

2) Did you know Forbath was a finalist for the Groza award? We found this out somewhere else, Have you lost all all of my contacts already? – The Ghost of Dohn
I thought I only heard from Dohn’s ghost in my nightmares. Of course I found out, and I wanted to talk to Kai before posting anything. I’ll get that chance tonight.

3) Who do you think should win the Heisman? – Anonymous
I think Toby Gerhardt should win. I think Tim Tebow will win.

4) What are you hearing about possible at-large bowl berths? Does the school/team have a preference? – mvlsd
It’s looking pretty clearly like either the Humanitarian or the New Mexico bowl. The team has no preference, or at least hasn’t stated so.

5) Hows Kia shaping up, will he be back in time for spring? – Anonymous
He told me yesterday that he’s ahead of schedule and will be back for spring ball.

6) What do you think of Chane Moline getting all the carries this past week? I know Moline scored 3 TDs the previous week and is as reliable as any back we have–but certainly the 4 guys behind him deserve some sort of game time? – pikindaguy
I’ve said all along that the running back rotation has been misused this season. I don’t get how Milton Knox or Johnathan Franklin can play so little in a game like Arizona State. Even one play, here or there, changes the entire defensive outlook. I like Moline with the ball – he’s consistent, secure – but the other guys just provide something different. Kind of like when Franklin started, and Moline presented something different.

7) When are they going to stick your mug on the top of the blog? – Reformed Droog
Trust me, it’s not a mug you’re missing. I just haven’t gotten around to it.

8) Why is Logan Paulson starting? I feel Ryan Moya is way better, at catching, and YAC. – Joe B.Ruin
Paulsen is a good blocker, a steadying presence and a bigger target. Both are on the field often.

9) Why when bball is underway and its football rivalry week can you manage Zero post all day about either. Instead a Q & A with questions you struggle with about recruiting…….Dude, you are very much dropping the ball with the blog! – This Blog Blows
Sorry you’re unhappy. With the podcast starting up and two sports to cover, it’s been a little tougher than usual to get some blog posts in. I’ll work on it just for you.

10) Any word on if Norm Chow will come back next season? If Norm did leave who would you want to bring in as the new OC? Would you stay pro style or some sort of spread offense? – Anonymous
I believe Norm is coming back, and if he did leave, TCU’s Justin Fuente, Troy’s Neal Brown or Texas A&M’s Nolan Cromwell. I’d stick with a pro-style offense, but I’d mix the wildcat in more often.
