Ariza making moves for Rockets
Four Sports Illustrated writers weighed in on Trevor Ariza's fast start with Houston, and Ron-Ron's slow start for the Lakers.
Pretty interesting takes on the former UCLA and Westchester High product, who I still think had the best dunk in a high school game I've ever seen when Westchester defeated Thousand Oaks in the first round of the 2001-02 State Finals.

ariza not a true bruin...
"ariza not a true bruin..."
He is to Coach Howland.
Is this because Ariza was on a championship team?
The Lakers signing Artest rather than re-signing Ariza killed the feel good of the championship last year and damaged a life long affection for all things Lakers. Beginning this year the Lakers and Lakers fans will realize the mistake made by Lakers management.
i never said anything about howland.. and this topic does not concern him. but since you mention it.. what would you expect him to say? it looks bad to recruits if he says anything negative towards a player who left after one year to be a second round draft pick.
Howland could have chosen to say nothing, but instead chose to say something positive a few months ago on his twitter. Saying nothing would have done nothing to influence recruits negatively.
"Congratulations to Trevor and Jordan! 2 more Bruins with a Championship. I can't wait to see the rings, sit with them, and hear all about it"
"Trevor was a huge part of the Lakers win tonight! Bruin fans should be proud. What a great game. I love this time of year in the NBA."
"Looking forward to watching Trevor and Jordan tonight. I guess it's obvious who I'm rooting for... I want to see some big rings this summer!"
I'm sure you probably don't think Jordan is a true Bruin either.
remember who was guarding Ariza in that game? A guy by the name of Ben Olson
Players like Jordan, Kevin Love and Westy went to war for the program while they were here. Trevor stood around and sulked like a lazy malcontent the year he was here. He is not a true Bruin. Don't make him a hero just because he passed through the program. He
Hired guns, the lot of them.

New saying. "You can be a Bruin for a year, but not one for life." Hahahahaha
