Computer issues
Hey guys,
My computer AC adapter just died - the second one in two weeks - and I might not be able to post on the blog until I get to Washington tomorrow night. I apologize if there is in fact a delay, but thanks for the understanding.
Check in every so often, but I'm not sure when I'll be back on here.
Thanks again,
JG

Jon, you do great work. We can get through one day, if need be...
I use that excuse a lot when I forget things in email or just fail to respond to my email.
Jon. Your job is to freaking blog. get another computer as a backup. Netbooks are 2-3 bills.
I'd love to make that excuse to my boss. Sorry I can't get my work done, my computer's broken! i'll start working sometime in the future. no way, they'll fix that shit for me and get me working agian.
Rutgers beats #23 South Florida.
Anyone hear Dohn cheering?
So you're a PC user, huh Jon?
I can't stand the ass-kissing on this blog...get your ish together, Jon...what a joke!
do you have a best buy near you? I hear they have all sorts of generic ac adapters. this really doesn't seem like a problem that should take over a day to fix. more like 20 mins.
borrow Randall Carroll's.
Man u guys need to chill on Jon. Maybe this is code for leave my a$$ alone so I can relax. So if this is what you call a$$ kissing, then it also must mean get a life for you.
Some of you guys need to switch to decaf, and maybe step away from the computer and get fresh air.

seriously? seriously?? i guess since your laptop isn't working, you won't see these comments either. Harrison Barnes is only announcing today but I guess we don't need to come here to find the latest news.
The computer excuse has been trotted out this season as many times as Kai Forbath in the Red Zone.
Did any of you hear CRN on Dan Patrick this morning playing Stairway to Heaven on his guitar? Sounded cool, but he needs to learn some song written this decade. Led Zep is so old, these kids can't identify with those Oldies but Goodies. Peace Out.
I'm sorry but Neu's cover of Stairway was horrible.
I didn't like that "I'm not talking about the losing streak" pout. Just man up, it's not like Dan Patrick is going to attack him.
Isn't Jon traveling today? I mean he posted late last night that he is having computer issues and will be traveling to Washington today. Where did this notion come that he was taking the day off to chill? Some of you guys need to look in the mirror and realize that a bitter loser is staring righ back at you.
Do they have a Best Buy in the Paloose?
cant you make entries from your phone?
Wait, they have electricity and running water in Pullman now?
Wow, things have changed.
he must buy his computer stuff at the same place he buys the phone he uses not to get in touch with Uko's coach.
Whose wedding is it this time? Surely the computer excuse is just cover to fly to Hawaii
Jon . . . Guide us. . . we need you. We are lost without your periodic updates . . . the pain!
No backup PC or a/c adapter? An ounce of prevention is worth a lb. of cure. Since your laptop is your link, you should be prepared, Mr. Gold. On a positive not, keep up the good work. I enjoy your willingness to be innovative and at times quirky.
rlowe82,
I didn't know that Macs don't need AC adaptors.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - the IT folks at the LA Daily News need to all be fired.
o Can't fix the blog posting delay (for over 3 years now)?
o Can't set up a chat server for game day purposes?
o Can't keep laptops in working order?
I've been running IT groups for the better part of the last decade and I'd NEVER put up with the half-assed work that your IT guys do.
To be fair, I'm guessing the blog isn't the top priority of the IT staff at the LA Daily News...
...but you'll notice that the ads work every time...
Barnes to UNC...booo
Good blog, bad comment section. It's like a sewer in here. Only comment section I've ever seen that's been worse is at Wolf's crappy blog. Bunch of you babies need to grow the F up.
You're doing a good job Jon.
(Incidentally, this is something I would say to you in person.)
What company do you know provides their employees with spare adapters and/or laptops to lug around? The failure rate is so low that it just makes more economic sense to replace them as they fail rather than having people carry around spares. I'm a programmer for a Fortune 500 company that provides software services, and my company sure doesn't issue spare power supplies and laptops, even to our consultants working out in the field at client sites. Some of you really need to get out in the real world and see how it operates.
