QUARTERBACK
Kevin PrinceCraft put the team in an unwinnable situation, throwing three picks.
D
RUNNING BACKS
Chane Moline and Co. managed just 44 yards on 17 carries.
D
WIDE RECEIVERS
Drops, drops, drops. Just a sub-par effort.
D-
OFFENSIVE LINE
For the second straight week, the unit reverted to the uninspired group of old in the running game
D+
DEFENSIVE LINE
A great effort - eight tackles for loss - against a great offensive line.
A-
LINEBACKERS
Steady and effective; can't really blame this crew for the loss.
A-
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Alterraun Verner had another interception, and despite the late touchdown, a good effort.
B+
SPECIAL TEAMS
Another solid effort out of Jeff Locke, even though Kai Forbath wasn't put to work.
B-
COACHING
Norm Chow could not find the right combination in the running game yet again.

Absolutely no leadership from the timid Neuheisel.
Tony Jefferson eliminates UCLA from list (some classless stuff from the UCLA players)...
Five-star athlete Tony Jefferson (Chula Vista, Calif./Eastlake) decommitted from UCLA following an official visit to USC and will now decide for either the Trojans or the Oklahoma Sooners, ESPN's Greg Biggins reports.
"The UCLA players really disrespected me before the game," Jefferson said. "When they saw me, they were all cussing at me, telling me to never come around Westwood again and things like that. These were guys that I had hung out with before and it was a lot of the team. I guess I kind of see it since I was committed there and was wearing USC gear before their big game but I still didn't appreciate it."

When a defense gives up 21 points it's hard to justify high grades, especially if you recognize that USC's offense is probably in the bottom half of the Pac-10.
I do like ATV's performance.
so a moral victory for the defense?
Jon,
Can you get someone to fix the website glitch where everytime you go to the blog page, it automatically scrolls all the way down to the Pepperdine in-game chat after about 5 seconds. Then you have to scroll all the way up to get back to the new stuff.
Not a big deal but very annoying.
I hate SUC.
not a single post about UCLA losing to CSULB? Jon, that's pathetic.
Nothing on the game today? What's up?
where is that idiot that said we will run forever with theriot blocking and moline running. he was just selling his kid huh. not impressed at all.
I know the bball game was bad... but no posts? I'll even settle for some quotes.
Again, Jefferson did not de-commit, the UCLA players did it for him. Great job guys. He deserves every bit of verbal abuse thrown at him for disrespecting the UCLA program.
QUARTERBACK
Craft was able to scramble with some success, but the 3 picks killed us
D+
RUNNING BACKS
Moline looked slower than the offensive lineman and Franklin fumbled again
D-
WIDE RECEIVERS
too may drops. Paulsen's personal foul penalty was huge
F
OFFENSIVE LINE
pass blocking was good, but run blocking was horendous
D
DEFENSIVE LINE
Price and Bosworth were in the backfield all day. Price might be a top 15 pick in the draft. Where was Datone Jones all day.
A
LINEBACKERS
Ayers was all over the place and Bosworth and Carter were steady
A-
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Nice pick my Verner and Moore had some great tackles, but it seemed like SC guys were always open. They only time they didn't catch the ball was when Barkley missed with his pass. Sheldon Price needs to add some weight
B-
SPECIAL TEAMS
Locke was solid. Punt return blocking was awful.
C
COACHING
This loss is on CRN and Chow. Took Chow too long to get in the game and didn't utilize Knox in the Wildcat, going with Craft and Moline instead.

Are you kidding me Tony Jefferson?!
You should consider yourself lucky that all our team did was cuss at you. Really. Try taking an official to Alabama during their rivalry game, wearing their clothes, while verbally committed to Auburn. Or the same for Michigan/Ohio State. You'll have your head torn off and stuffed with candy as a pinata. You dumb prick! I don't think I've ever seen something more disrespectful and more ignorant done by any UCLA commit. Jefferson has the SUC personality written all over him.
I almost agree with the other person who wrote that he didn't decommit. Our team stood up for what is righteous and dignified by shoving him away.
Tony Jefferson: Bruins you did a great job of sending This blue chip player to USC. I guess Neuheisel must be really happy about that. With all the 5-star player on UCLA team who need anymore. And the totaly ghetto demonstation at the end of the game should go a long way to put you in a zero bowl.
Jefferson was on an official to USC, that is why he was wearing their gear you morons. This is SOP in the recruiting world. But way to show your lack of class UCLA! Man, you guys are idiots.
Jefferson will be kicking your sorry asses for the next 3-4 years along with the rest of the Trojies.
Jefferson decided a long time ago he wasn't going to come to westwood. It probably has more to do with him not being able to make the grade than anything else. Now him getting upset that the bruin players gave him the bis before the game is funny. How would the THUGS at sc treat any player wearing BRUIN gear after verbaly committing to south central U?
Alber Gonzales - use spell check loser!!!!!
COACHING
Rick Neuheisel took a time out like a brat and got spanked for it. Its his fault, and his fault ONLY that his players were humiliated.

UCLA fans are pansies. That is all.

Maybe, but U$C was once again exposed as a very bad team by the Bruins. Arizona should easily kick the cr@p out of the trojans, and just about any bowl game opponent must now really like their chances against them. Pete ran the score up at the end, but the entire game film will be reviewed by opposing coaches, and in the end, it was just another poor performance by the sub-par 2009 trojans.
UCLA FANS
A bunch of babies focused on people being mean to them instead of the crappy football team they have on the field.
F
How can June Jones and Jim Harbaugh turn two losing programs around in two years? Yet UCLA seems to have made no progress? I see no improvement over the last coaching staff.Offensive has been horrible since 2006. Is it true Rick has beaten only one team with a winning record since taking over? Thanks for Nothing

BRUIN FANS
Quit your whining. deal with it.
FU
all comments about whining are correct. Just funny they're coming mainly from guys who spent the last month complaining about how classless Oregon and Stanford are...
Reggie Carter steamrolls a referee on his way (along with the rest of the Bruin players) to pick a fight with the USC sideline, and USC players are the thugs?
If TJ did the opposite (wore UCLA gear after committing to USC), the USC players would have laughed at him, like they laughed at the Bruins heading across the field. It's the losing team that gets angry.
Good thing Dragovic wasn't there, or all hell would have broken loose.
shouldn't you sc fans be getting ready for the next raider game or your mandatory visit with your parole officer?
This is great, based on all the venom coming from USC posters, you can tell the rivalry is back. I for one prefer this to the Dorrell years when we'd just meekly lose and "hope" we could get them next year.
Face it Bruins, we're recruiting better, we're playing better, and we have our most talented players coming back next year. USC is going to stay good, and we're going to get better, so this competition is going to get more intense with TWO good teams, which is what it deserves. It's been 20 years (first SC, then UCLA), of being one-sided, and I'm glad I can see it ending.
For Anon 9:51:
Stanford & Harbaugh would be .500 or worse without Gearhart, who is the single most dominant player in the Pac10 (basically allows them to run a ball control offense to keep their crappy D off the field). I predict they'll actually be worse next year (although the program is still moving in the right direction), and June Jones lost to WSU this year and plays in Conference USA, so I'm not sure he's made a TON of progress.
Stanford would be 500 without Toby? Really? Thanks coach. To win at Stanford might be the hardest job in football. The job Harbaugh has done at USD (no scholarships)and Stanford in 3 years is nothing short of amazing. June Jones has taken a back to back 1-11 teams to 7 -5 in his second season. 4 of those 5 losses have been by 3 points. Playing a true freshman QB.Taking a offense that rated last of D1 teams to a 15th racked O this year. What conference they play in is meaningless. Results are all that matter. In 2 years we have had zero results from 2 great offensive minds.
Check this out. VERY FUNNY STUFF. Trojans complaing about the THUGS at their tailgaiting parties outside the slum/Coliseum. Just a few HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Tattooed Fan brings TWO massive pit-bulls on chains to the USC tailgate.
2. A woman is stabbed outside the museum while tailgating at USC.
3. A porta-potty is tipped over with someone in it.
4. Dueling DJs with loud speakers all over the place and on campus.
5. Alcohol-fueled fights galore.
6. Complaints that the Trojan Nation has been taken over by the RAIDER NATION.
7. Loud cries of WHERE IS THE POLICE??

The Tony Jefferson story has been out there for 14 hours and there has yet to be a post about this. It is one thing to be behind the ball on a story, but when time after time you drop the ball it is unexcuseable.
Anon--Harbaugh is an excellent coach, and I wish we had taken a chance on someone like Walker than go with a "proven guy" like RN (which isn't the point of this post). I didn't meant to belittle Harbaugh, I've liked him ever since I attended the UCLA-Stanford game in 2007 and saw him fired up on the sideline, while Dorrell just sat there like a wannabe Willingham.
That said, it's too soon to say RN is as bad as Dorrell. Dorrell had the benefit of Toledo's recruits, while RN got medicore recruiting classes. Games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage, and for two years, we've barely been able to control the offensive side. Those players are going to get better, the other big time programs didn't recruit them for nothing.
Anon (Oregon fan)--We lost by 21, but it was 7 into the 4th quarter, not exactly a "blowout". I think the entire Pac10 is getting better, not just us. The conference is as deep as it's been in recent memory. We've lost close games this year because we don't have the experience to close them out. What exactly makes you think we're not going to get better?
