2) USC scored, and the players, some goaded on by the coaching staff, gathered around midfield on their sideline, some spilling onto the field, and taunted UCLA as a team. The fans played a part as well, and the Bruins simply got fed up.
3) Do you have any thoughts on the rumors about Malcolm Lee going to the NBA or transferring at the end of this season? – Spencer
If he keeps playing the way he has, no chance for the NBA. I think the rumors of transferring are overblown.
4) Can you ask CBH if Bobo is going to get more PT now? Nelson seems short to take on full center roles, what about Lane? Does this increase his PT as well? – BruinBurd
We asked on Tuesday, and Howland was non-committal about Bobo. Nelson will be the starter and Lane’s minutes will up.
5) Was UCLA penalized for wearing their home jerseys at the Coliseum as the “away team”? This rule made so much press last year, was it since rescinded? Can other teams besides USC and UCLA do this as well? – Dean
The rule was changed in the spring that teams could petition conferences for the right to do it. There are no penalties if approved.
6) Do you know what kind of player Howland thought Jerime Anderson would be this season? I mean, even seeing him in limited play last season, I had no idea he would be such a poor PG this season. Do you think Howland knew what he’d be getting when he recruited Anderson (i.e., a sub-par PG)? – la-ukla
No, Howland thought he was getting a player. Don’t forget, he was injured for most of the fall and is just in the process of getting his legs back. Check back in three weeks.
7) I’ve already written this basketball season off. With Gordon leaving, the program in disarray, and god knows what else brewing underneath the surface. What can/should Howland do NOW to start building towards a much-improved 2010-11 season? – la-ukla
He can play Mike Moser and Brendan Lane more. He can play Nikola Dragovic less. He can play zone defense. He can give the team some offensive freedom early in the game to get some confidence.
8) What is our situation going to be with the two-deep at d-tackle in 2010? Doesn’t look good to me… – Ryan
Until a couple of the high-priority recruits pick their schools, it’s in limbo. David Carter looked pretty good this year and will be improved with an offseason of lifting.

Yes, I believe so.
10) Are the basketball coaches dissapointed to see gordon leave? what are the conditions of his transfer? – MaltBaa
The conditions have not been released, but Gordon has said that he won’t go to another Pac-10 school. Disappointed to see his talent go, but not his attitude.
