Keefe out 2-3 weeks

UCLA senior forward James Keefe dislocated his left shoulder early in the first half of the the team’s win over New Mexico State last night and will miss 2-to-3 weeks.

This is the same shoulder that limited Keefe in 2007-08 with a torn labrum, though x-rays were now negative.

I have had my shoulder dislocate in a game and have had labral repair surgery. It is incredibly painful. Nothing will show up on an x-ray though because it’s an injury toa ring of cartilage.

I think in the long run, this is a good thing. This will mean more minutes for Honeycutt, Nelson and Lane and BoBo.
