Howland ON:
On Reeves Nelson:
"When you look at his numbers relative to his minutes played, he's been the most productive member of our team. His biggest thing is the defensive part of the game. He made a number of mistakes against Long Beach. He's really hearing this stuff for the first time."
On the loss to Butler:
"I felt even though we lost and were disappointed we lost, I thought we played with a lot of character, of pride. The bench was really good. There were some positives to take out of that game, even though it was a loss."
On preparing for Kansas:
"I've seen them a little bit this year. For the next two days, we're going to be more concerned about the fundamentals and what we've been doing. Since the 16th, we've played six games. There hasn't been a lot of practice time."
On being outscored in the first half consistently:
"I thought we got off to a good start against Long Beach. We were up 24-17 and we made a couple turnovers. Of course we want to get off to good starts. Two years ago, we were a really good second half team. Last year I thought we got off to better starts."

will Howland ever change?
