Malcolm Jones, California POY
UCLA-bound running back Malcolm Jones of Oaks Christian was named the Gatorade California Football Player of the Year after racking up nearly 2,000 yards rushing and 34 touchdowns for the undefeated Lions.
Defensively, Jones had 57 tackles, three interceptions and a sack, while his playing time was limited to mostly first-halves, as his all-world team put games away early.
Jones comes to UCLA as Scout.com's No. 6 running back but could end up playing defense for the Bruins, who could have a jammed backfield next season with several returning players and another lofty recruit in Jordon James.

Awesome!
This doesn't change anything, but its nice to get some positive Bruin news for a change.
Extremely happy for him. Congrats MJ!
Would Malcolm Jones play safety if he were to play defense?
Too bad he has to play at a Junior College next year.
I would just assume we move some of the current backs we have to defense and let MJ run! None of them really shocked the world this year.
Yea, the 30th ranked university in the world is junior college.
So sad, Sc is not even in the top 100.
Get a life Sc fans....or go to a real university!
Jon - What is up with you? He has been recruited and told he will be a RB at UCLA. Why do you throw out stuff like this?
I hereby bet "Bert" (if that's your real name) $500 that Malcolm Jones enrolls at UCLA for the Fall 2010 Quarter...how dare you...
Dont take too much from these stats. oak christian plays in the tri valley league or something.. its really bad.. they win every game by at least fifty points
um, I'm pretty sure the joke was that UCLA's football team is like a JC team.
