Neuheisel ON:
"To keep our momentum, to keep going where we want to go, it was to make it to the post season. I'm still feeling like we're on the right track. Unfortunately, we had to let things happen and materialize before we were extended the invitation."
On Temple's improvement:
"I know in talking to some of the people in and around that program, they had to work hard to bring Philadelphia's best to stay home. They've got to be as excited as they can be. We're excited, too. We know that they're a program that's evolving into a power. We'd like to believe that's the same direction we're headed. We would like to become a national player again."
On Temple running back Bernard Pierce:
"He's an exceptional player. When you watch Temple, two things come to mind. They are going to run the ball and do everything they can to stop the run. They've been effective in both departments. Usually that translates to winning."
On what it's like to play in Los Angeles:
"If there's a negative, it can be that there's some many other things going on in Los Angeles that you have to work hard to dispel interest. But the interest is still very high - we play in the Rose Bowl, 72,000 people coming on a weekly basis. I see sunshine - and I don't mean that figuratively. It's definitely a blue-sky environment here."
On Brian Price:
"Brian is a great story. He grew up right here in inner-city LA, went to Crenshaw High School, his family's been through very difficult times with the death of two brothers to inner-city violence. He's worked hard to get himself in a position to be able to go to college. His parents and the people at Crenshaw are all to be congratulated.
"Since he's arrived, he's just been a joy. He had a monster year this year, named to numerous All-America teams. He's a very, very difficult player to block. Coaches voted him defensive player of the year, which is very difficult out of the inside lineman position. The only thing I will add is I hope he stays for another year."

A few things:
1. 'We'd like to become a national player again.' This is a HORRIBLE mentality. Our goal can't be national recognition like Oregon State or Arizona this year. Our goal HAS to be a national championchip. If we fall short next year, then so be it. But we can never be content with mediocrity. Ever. This isn't a misinterpretation of CRN. He's said this same thing several times, where he just wants UCLA to be a national player. That needs to change.
2. How many times this year did we actually have 72K+ fans in the stands this year. I was at every home game, and I can't remember more than perhaps one. The ASU game was the saddest. People, GO TO GAMES!
3. It's good to hear that CRN is rooting for BP to come back for a senior year. I think he knows that Price is gone, like the rest of do. But at least he's saying he wants him to stay.
I will respect any decision BP makes - whether to stay in school for his senior year of eligibility, or go on to the Sunday league to earn the riches to take care of his family. Either way, it's win-win.
Glad you are a Bruin, BP! Now, go take care of Temple in D.C.!
Brian should go to NFL. Too much to loss if he doesn't take advantage of the offers.

Are you serious?? we won a FB NC in 1954, close in 1998. Even Howlands goals in up years is to win the Pac-10 and see where that leads. Calling RN out for not certifying every season as a National Championship makes you..... well CERTIFIABLE.
Chill out dude. RN is one of the most positive, sell the upside guys around.
Our schedule next year is tough, just look at it. Texas, Oregon, Cal on the road. Even Udub will be hard now that Locker has been brainwashed into staying. If we win 8 games next year that will be improvement/solid.
I can tell RN has the program headed in the right direction by the increased activity of the trolls. They put in comments with typo's then come back on to critique them.
Jon it may be time to make people sign in. Even the toejams.
Got to get someone to listen before they buy. A salesman always keeps the door open and CRN is selling a vision. The more sales calls, the merrier and the more that will join.

would you prefer if he just gave up and let it go? I have no doubt that if there is anyone that can have a recruitment changing in home its CRN
