Price, Forbath named AFCA All-Americans
UCLA junior defensive tackle Brian Price and junior kicker Kai Forbath were named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America team today.
Price had 42 tackles, including 22.5 for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Facing double- and triple-teams, Price was at times unblockable, a physical force who had a variety of tools at his disposal.
Forbath, meanwhile, was just about automatic. The Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks graduate nailed 26 field goals, second in the country, on 29 kicks. His field-goal percentage was second in the country, too. All three misses, however, were from beyond 50 yards.

very nice. well done, boys.
Hey spedjones, you have been right on a lot of recruiting news.
You have earned my respect when I previously doubted you (sorry).
Anything new you can share with us?
nope, nothing good anyway. Rick has a lot of work to do between now and signing day if he's going to get the class we thought he might.
That stamped of All American means Brian Price played his last game as a Bruin this year.
Only 3 Pac-10 players on list.
UCLA has two of them.
I had never seen Brian Price at work, but he just ate up the SC line last Saturday night.
And, yeah, he's gone.
I asked him how becoming a multi-millionaire would change his life, and he replied that not only would he be able to live the life he always dreamed of, but so would the people around him.
The only thing I have to say is:
UCLA - 2
USC - 0
That's something, at least.
