Quotables: Jerime Anderson

On Drew Gordon's decision to leave the team:
"It's a little distraction, but we've had a lot of adversity this season already. There's nothing too new to us now. We need to get our focus back."

On the idea of "abandoning a sinking ship":
"I can't speak for anybody but myself, but I know it's not entering into my mind. The only thing I'm worried about is getting things together where we're at."

On finding chemistry
"We're a close-knit team, we just really have to find our chemistry on the floor. Definitely we're a little down coming off the tournament, but our focus right now is to work hard and get better."

Alright, Jerime...As our PG, and the single most important player on the floor, this is a great opportunity to both step up your game as well as leadership. Seize the day! With the season we've had thus far, improvement has to be a foregone conclusion. This will only happen if you come through. Make me a fan, JA! I will be rooting for you!!!

I don't like the "I can't speak for anyone but myself" comment. As PG of this team, Jerime needs to step up and make SURE no one feels they can abandon this ship. DC or Farmar were more than talented players. They were leaders. Time for Jerime to lead.

I agree. I must check this site at least 15 times a day and it is disappointing that there is nothing new. Some times, a post for the day.

bruindodger: really? 15 times a day? No wonder you're disappointed. You have absolutely nothing else going on in your pathetic excuse for a life. At the very least, get a hamster, dude.

You think bruindodger is bad? I check in at least 20+ times daily. I'm the one who needs a life.

On second thought, UCLA is my life and I'm quite content.

this blog has been on a steady downhill trend since JG shocked us with his enthusiasm in reporting on preseason practices.

it is completely evident that his enthusiasm has completely stalled at this point. who could blame him? he's been exposed as a sloppy, inexperienced writer lacking real perspective, and most who still read are ungrateful for the little he does bring to the table.

i'd be surprised to see him back next season.
