Quotables: Michael Roll
On the team's effort:
"A lot of it comes down to playing real hard. Our cuts aren't precise and not full-speed all the time. Sometimes we don't know when to screen. Hopefully everybody can learn from it."
On what the freshmen need to learn:
"Coming from high school, things are so different. Just every day sacrifices. Not being able to go out and live the normal college life, getting extra jump shots in, taking care of your body and eating right - it's just something you learn with time. You can't go out and do the every day things. Once the season gets going more and more, people are going to start to rest and realize what they need to do."

Jon,
What the heck does Coach Howland have to say? Thats what we all want to know!
Mike Roll is calling out the younger guys. There's rumors that some of the young guys are partying and doing medicinal herbs even the night before games. How about doing some investigative reporting about that Jon? Maybe investigate all of the players telling their high school coaches they want to leave UCLA at the end of the year? Anything investigative?
Do they ever learn that they can't dribble without the ball getting ripped from them? If Michael Roll is an example the answer is a resounding NO...
