The bearer of good news...
So this was an interesting text conversation:
Me: "Gatorade POY?!! Congrats man, can you talk later?"
Malcolm Jones: "Ya. Did I win national or state???"
Me: "State. Wait. You didn't know?!?!"
MJ: "No, my coach didn't tell me! haha"
Me: "HAHAHA Oh crap! My bad! Uhh... Congrats. HAHA Hit me up later."
MJ: "HAHA Thanks"
Didn't mean to break the news, but I guess he's happy. Will try to make sure I get him on the phone later today.

u must be very proud of yourself...
What amuses me is that Jon Gold uses the expressions "my bad" and "Hit me up later."
That's great news Jon! I am looking forward to having MJ as a Bruin!
Nice job, Jon. Keep plugging away.

That was pretty funny "this is probably more accurate"
and for Exquisite Journalist...Suck It D-Bag!
With most of these idiot posters, this place is worse than ESPN message boards now...
*Sigh*
Whoa - When did the posting delay get fixed?
San Jose Mercury states that Chow is interested in HC job at SJ State???
Actually it sounds like Steve Clarkson wants Norm Chow to be interested in the HC job at SJ State.

omg
Norm always wanted to be a head coach, and I believe his Tennessee money is drying up. He is about 62 I believe, so this may be his last chance. If the rumor is true I bet he takes the job.
If Coach NC leaves for a head coaching job (which I doubt he will do), the I say bring in Charlie Weis as OC. He has mega $$$ pay out from ND, and he can certainly run the Offense.
You're on fire today, VB.
I am much more interested in the status of kevin prince's right arm, which you haven't said boo about, than in your text message exchanges with a high school kid. I'm sure you're proud of yourself, but go do your job.
give him hell, danny. ask him how that call with Uko's coach went too. but seriously, this is a free blog. you get what you pay for (and I for one think it's a good deal).
"I doubt he will move to San Jose so he can coach a mid-major team that plays in a high school stadium."
Thats what many said the last time he took a new job.
Hahahaha, Uko's coach. I hope to get him on the phone later tonight. Hahahaha
I'm not sure how long the posting delay is here, but here's what the LA Times blog said at 5:39 pm (I'm sending this at approx 6:15 pm). It say's NC is not interested in SJSU:

VB and every condom tool who come in here and post nonsense are losers...
nonsense
Norm Chow was willing to move to Palo Alto if they had offered him the job. Isn't San Jose State something like 10 or 20 miles from there?
Danny, keep your belittling comments to yourself. It's one thing to inquire about prince's status but an entirely "classless" thing to attack Jon. Maybe you should go over to the suc blog and spew your garbage over there. You sure sound like 'em.
this is the type of high class player UCLA recruits. In addition to being a great football player, MJ seems to be a person in the ATV mold. From the LA Times:
"Jones is also a strong performer in the classroom. He has a 3.46 grade-point average and is a peer math tutor. He also referees basketball games at a youth center in Los Angeles"

Jon Gold the nail in the coffin that is journalism
