Weekly Answers, Pt. 2

1) Can you name any top prospects on our radar for '11 - dolphyfan1
The names that I keep hearing pop up are Crenshaw RB De'Anthony Thomas, Summit WR Devon Blackmon, Bishop Gorman (NV) DE Jalen Grimble, Serra WR George Farmer, Serra OLB Jason Gibson, and Taft DT Antwaun Woods. There are others, but that's the prime group right now.

2) What are your reactions to Joe McKnight and the investigation will it hurt USC recruiting and help UCLA RECRUITING? - Anonymous
I try to stay away from that mess, but it can't hurt. Once some penalties come down - though it's more of an IF they come down - then UCLA might benefit.

3) Last year Coach Chow and a part time Hawaiian assistant were huge in getting us Hawaiian recruits...why aren't we doing as good this year with them? - Anonymous
Just less of a priority this year. In UCLA's Scout.com listing, there isn't one Hawaii recruit in their top 30. I just think they've nailed down some big California guys, and that will always be priority No. 1.

4) Are any our kids from the DC area? I have heard we have a couple born in the area. - Anonymous
Damien Thigpen is from Virginia and he's the closest one.

5) Do you think Malcolm Lee will return to the Bruins? - legalsean
Yes, I think so. He needs more seasoning.

6) What is happening with Hasiak? Do you think he will be a Bruin next year?
One too many strikes. I doubt he'll be back.

7) Any info regarding why the basketball team wasn't on the floor for the national anthem prior to the Notre Dame game? - Anonymous
UCLA is never out for the national anthem. It doesn't coincide with the pre-game timing.

8) Any word from Uko's coach yet? - spedjones
Surprisingly...no. Should I keep calling for you, Sped?

9) I know it's hard to predict, but can you throw out your defensive starting lineup next year? - Kev
Sure- DE: Jones and Tepa. DT: Carter and Edison. LB: Ayers, Sloan, Larimore. CB: Hester, Price. S: Dye, Moore.

10) Is it true that Donovan Carter has worked out on the D-Line at practice? If true, how has he looked? Do you think he has the size to excel in the trenches? - Juice

He'll be fine if he packs on another 40 pounds. In today's college game, defensive tackle is more about foot speed and leverage, and if he can just solidify his frame, he could be effective.

show up on his doorstep, Jon. Clark Kent would. Unrelated, you should call Owa's coach back and get a date for him to commit to UCLA. It's in the bag, baby.

I don't know why but the Dragovic history reminds me of an old joke:

A friend visits an inmate and asks, "Why you in jail, Jones?"
Jones answers "'Cause I killed my wife."
Friend: "Oh, man, well, how much time they giving you?"
Jones: "Two weeks."
Friend: "Two weeks for killing your wife?"
Jones: "Yeah, and after two weeks then they take me out back and hang me."

no way sloan and larimore are on the field together. it will be one or the other at MLB. Each is way too slow to play WLB , assuming Akeem stays at Sam

Condom John - Why are you here day after day especially after calling out Bruins for posting over at Wolf's blog regarding the McKnight SUV situation? Does hypocrisy cause you no shame?

BE REAL Author Profile Page said:

Other than you and perhaps one other bruin, I don't think anybody else knows I post over here. Or cares. But, yes, I feel as shameful for my hypocrisy as any good bruin would. Or Trojan.

And by the way, the name 'Gaston Greene' is so yesterday. Unless you are the real one.
