ESPN reporting PC might make DW his DC

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Pete Carroll might want DeWayne Walker to be his defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.

That would be a huge plus for UCLA, as a Walker hire at USC would be massive for the Trojans. Out of all the possible USC candidates – from Del Rio to Edwards, from Chris Peterson to Jim Harbaugh – Walker should scare Bruin fans the most. He has incredible recruiting ties in Southern California and is highly respected in the high school coaching community.

Never heard the DeWayne Walker to USC rumor. I’m more worried about the Norm Chow becomes a Trojan talk.

Your post doesn’t quite make sense. You mean a walker hire at seattle?

I’m worried about the two of them teaming up. Good recruiters and good coaches. Walker as the head coach and Chow as OC with full control. They are already good friends.

what doesn’t make sense? if PC takes DeWayne Walker to Seattle, that means he’s not at USC –> can’t/won’t recruit against UCLA. If PC does NOT hire Walker to Seattle, then there is a possibility that Walker goes to USC, and UCLA does not benefit in recruiting.

What part of Pete Carroll might want DeWayne Walker to be his defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks”
    doesn’t make sense?
Yes at Seattle. The Seahawks. Ugly green and blue? uniforms. Hardly ever win anything. Those guys.

Is there a link that says SC is pursuing DW for the head coaching position? I haven’t heard this anywhere…

Yeah, because we were so awesome the three years Walker was here. Jon, you’ve got to be kidding. Walker at SC would be a dream come true.

This would be a good time to bring EScott back into the fold. Time to put the fullcourt press on local recruits.

For the love of God, please do not let Walker head to USC…

…but take Chow. I’m sick of “flashes of brilliance” from this “offensive genius” and “quarterback guru.” I’d like more than one good series a game, thank you very much.

Why wud walker leave a head coaching job to be an assistant coach? Does that make sense that he wud consider going to sc?

    I don’t think so…
