NICE! Close The Deal – Then Close Again!

  • Ryan

It’s going to be fun to follow this week’s events….

  • Ryan

According to their Scout profiles, both of these guys were at USC for official visits this weekend. Quite telling that they decided to go to UCLA again immediately after their officials to USC.

  • Anonymous

It might just be that they are coming off their usc visits and are coming to tell neuheisal that they’re not gonna sign with ucla. up in the ari.

  • Lifetime Bruin Fan

    This is a good sign.
    GO BRUINS.

  • Aram Namavar

I just passed by Morgan and I saw Jordan Zumwalt’s parents talking to Coach (they were white..)

  • BDB

Hey AnnonymousSUCmoron 5:29 News Flash! You don’t go back to a school to tell them you’re not going to sign……you do that over the phone, via text, or by your signing decision. Go back into your hole, suc troll!!!

  • Anonymous

Via text is for letting your players know youre leaving.

  • http://corinnemedel Anonymous

Man, I’m just an SC bone head who is really bumbed to here this news!!!!

  • RC3UCLA

Let’s collectively keep our fingers crossed…GO BRUINS!!!

  • http://corinnemedel LEY

    Go Bruins

  • RC3UCLA

After this, I’ve gotta determine if I’ll keep checking up on our recruiting efforts or just wait it out ’til Wednesday…This is my first “season” following along Jon’s great BRUIN blog, I don’t know if my heart can take it much more! I mean the season-long Uko/Riley/Marsh/Zumwalt ordeals, etc…Let’s get to NLI Day already…Gee Whiz!!!

  • Anonymous

For what it’s worth, my money’s on Slick!

  • Anonymous

Yeah, Riley may consider running over to westwood. After spending the weekend with Demar Dorsey and the likes of Sean Parker committing. He may be afraid to compete. Zumwalt would be a nice takeaway from Stanford. Wednesday should take care of everything. Especially with ESPN doing a remote from the best recruiting school in the west.

  • Anon

    “(they were white..) ”

Thanks for the 411 and clearing that up. Until now, I expected this white kid’s parents to be black.

  • BigFatDaddy

i’m betting that it’s about 1 in every 100 recruited kids that would go to a campus to tell a coach that he was NOT accepting their offer.

  • http://corinnemedel LEY

    Oraley LMAO….Go Bruins

  • Anonymous

    Riley is a Diva.

  • MichaelRyerson

It’s always a good sign when kids re-visit your school. Always. They don’t go back to give the coach or the assistants bad news. At a minimum they’re trying it on for size one last time (or best case they’re delivering good news to the athletic department) In any event, I hope these two took some time to stroll around Westwood this evening and noticed all the kids from SC coming over to the west side to relax.

  • Anonymous

Zumwalt is NOT visiting ucla…Riley is visiting after leaving SC because he found out that Parker is going to commit to SC…you guys can have the leftovers…

  • Anon

    Hey Suc fan

You ever figure out who is going to call offense plays for your team? Or do we expect the 4 and 2 up the middle calls that lame kitten is so accustomed to? (Rose bowl vs Texas, Last year against us)
You can lie and bring your daddy to try to fight your battles but when the chips are on the line, the true uncreativeness rises to the surface.
I can’t wait for this year! Go Bruins!

  • Anonymous

its gonna be realy funny when chow insists on prince playing and neuheisal then wants brehaut to get some time…lots of cohesiveness on that staff right? I wish neuheisal would get the chance to call the plays then he can show everyone his talent like he displayed as the head of baltimore’s anemic offenses with brian billick. Gollum face rick celebrates his eagle bank bowl trophy over a team that hadn’t been to a bowl game in 30 years because he knows he has reached to pinnacle of his time at ucla. another 7-6 season here we come!

  • http://corinnemedel anonymous

I’m really just BUMMED that i have to go on to the BRUIN BLOGS because theirs is better and i have a LAME COACH who is going to actually call our plays with a recruiting class that is dwindling down to junk and heavy sanctions coming from the NCAA!!!!

  • Bruinbalssy

Zumwalt was hanging out with some UCLA players tonight – that much I can confirm. On another note, Kiffin and Orgeron again told all of the recruits that there would absolutely be no sanctions against the USC football program. This was in a speech made to all visiting recruits this weekend.

  • Anonymous

I mean, if someone can give me evidence that usc had any knowledge of what reggie bush’s stepdad was doing 200 miles south of usc with a person who has never stepped on usc’s campus, then I think sanctions would be a possibility. But, nobody has proof thus no major sanctions. Maybe a few wins in ’05 but thats it. still, nothing compares to the stupidity involved with giving current football players handicapped parking permits, which they used on campus. Now thats what i call good ‘ol ucla. someone must of come from the sam gilbert school of player accommodations.

    Jackson Sticking with UCLA

Apparently grades are not an issue

    http://wearesc.com/news/story.php?article=2902

  • Beater

There are pictures of lloyd lake and his partner in the USC lockerroom, including some with some coaches. Also, Todd McNair was seen out at dinner with Lloyd Lake and Reggie Bush in 2004. Reggie’s family showed up at games in limousines, including away games.

It’s the same story with McKnight, Tyron Smith and others with cars that do not belong to them. The signs are everywhere, and Yahoo and other media outlets have been all over it for a while now. I suggest you keep your eyes closed for a while so you can keep dreaming that sweet dream, because the reality is that several major violations have occurred, not the least of which is the Kiffins and Orgerons meeting with recruits at the U.S. Army hotel (considered a major violation).

  • Beater

Several sources have confirmed that Zumwalt was on the UCLA campus for a long time today. He was hanging out with Cassius Marsh and Anthony Jefferson. Dietrich Rilye says he got a ton of pressure to commit, along with Marquis Jackson. We’ll see if Kiffin was able to turn them.

  • Anonymous

Dorrell could recruit too. And, had a better record.

  • Anonymous

Bring back dorrell…at least he proved on the field he can win games on the field. All neuheisal has proven us ucla fans is that he can talk a good game…i think its time we demand he wins some important games and not declare a victory over temple a step in the right direction. if we don’t even make it to the emerald bowl in year 3 we are screwed, especially when usc gets cleared from sanctions and we can’t negative recruit against them anymore.

  • Anonymous

bring back Dorrell? right….. lol You’ve got to be another SUC homer….

  • True Bruin

We will not be able to flip any players from Suc. Unfortunately, they are the top tier program in the Pac-10, have always been, and always will be. Suc always gets the best players becuz they have the best coaches and the most loyal fan base, and they are glamorous. Chicks and the media love them. The world loves them. I hope they get Seantrel Henderson and kick our ass for the nest 10 years. We are hopeless. Rick is a snake, and he will be in trouble again with the NCAA reallly really soon. All our recruits should jump ship now and swim to Suc. There, they will be able to play with a winning FB program, not a pretend one. And, I am a loyal Bruin.

  • Stu

Ya, that comment is ludicrously transparent. SUCster, bruins aren’t as stupid as your classmates. Try upping the smartness a few notches.

  • Stu

Trojan desperation is palpable. They feel their program shrinking. Posting on this site pretending to be bruins, hoping a recruit will read it. Sad, but I have no sympathy for the SUCster clowns.

  • theuclan

    UCLAVES

Nice try by Lame getting Jackson to take a last minute trip into south central…It’s nice to hear Jackson say the trip only made him a stronger ucla commit… When was the last time sc had to worry about a player not making the grade there?

Di Poalo denies commit to SuC addresses rumors

    Gerard Martinez
    USCFootball.com

As the countdown to signing day begins, the conjecture, rumors and speculation surrounding current and future commitments envelops the Internet landscape. Ventura (Calif.) four-star offensive lineman Giovanni Di Poalo is addressed his own set of rumors late Sunday night.

  • Anonymous

Stupid Trojans, tricks are for kids.

How short your memory is. UCLA owned L.A. and the PAC-10 in football for a decade in the 90′s. USC had their tainted run in the 2000′s, but the 2010′s will be UCLA’s once again.

The tide has already turned. USC is so last year. UCLA is now the cool place to be.

  • Anonymous

    DPA,

There is nothing on yahoo about USC getting penalized at all. Your lie just makes every Bruin who posts something about it less credible.

Just because you close your eyes and wish really hard it won’t make all your wishes happen. Remember when you kept wishing that John Wooden’s National Championships weren’t as dirty as spedjoes pampers? Well, neither cleaned up nicely.

  • bbruin

wow what a showing of toejam trollers.
I guess when the recruits come to UCLA after their offical at $C they get a little nervous and defensive. I dont blame them. Sean Parker is a small CB and Riley is a Safety. If you get a ranked OOS safety great, but… You really need to lock down the in-state talent. You $C guys have been doing that, but not so much now after Zumwalt, Riley, Jefferson, Marsh all blow you off on a Sunday afternoon. If you dont like what you read, dont flame here, go cry about it to Scott Wolf.

  • RC3UCLA

    Love it, bbruin!
