Cal's Best declares for NFL Draft
UCLA fans, breathe a sigh of relief: Though the Bruins still have to tangle with Shane Vereen, at least they won't have to see Jahvid Best again.
The Cal junior running back declared for the NFL on Saturday, and here's the ESPN write-up:

Brandon Willis officially decommitted from Tenn today and will announce his new choice next Sat at the U.S. Army game. It appears that it is between North Carolina and UCLA. This would be a big pickup for the Bruins.
They still have Shane Vereen. He's had a couple of solid years sharing time with Best. He's just as good , if not better than Best. His coming out party this season was against UCLA with 154 yards.
willis is a silent to unc.

I really don't give a hoot whether Best stays or goes. With or without Best, kal is not going to be very good next year and in the future because they can't recruit very well. So, on to other things.
Hey, Jon, here's an idea for the off-season: Why don't you do a series of articles on the BCS, and then ask your blog denizens to submit their ideas for the future of collegiate football? Just an idea.
Jon, this reporting is way to thin. How about some hoops news. Maybe find out what Coach Neu is going to do about keeping one of the best offensive coordinator in D-1 football, happy. BCS playoffs? This news is everywhere! not news anymore. How about some non-revenue sports news to add to our 104 national Championships.
The question between Javid and Vereen still remains. Is Javid..., best...?
