please do, Jon...that was some of the funniest reading ever! And, nice work over the past few days.
He already said on uclabruins.com:
Norm Chow, perhaps the top offensive coordinator in college football, will continue in that role at UCLA, it was announced today.
"I appreciate the interest from USC and Lane Kiffin, but I feel we are building something special here at UCLA and I am excited about our future," said Chow, who has coached three Heisman Trophy winners during his illustrious career. "We have some outstanding young players in the program and we are working hard on finishing strong in recruiting."
does anyone know if the conference is televised?
People, seriously? Conference CALLS are telephone calls. Chow is likely in the UCLA football office, or his own, looking out the window while he answers reporters' questions on the conference CALL.
Translation: No TV.
Simers article on the Kiffin press conference is funny.
Did everyone like my Page 2 article which appeared in today's Los Angeles Times? That douche Lame Kiffen wouldn't even answer my very simple questions. Hell, they didn't even feed us, but yet they want us to support a $4M dollar lame coach? WTF?
take care Bruins.
TJ
BruinChick I totally agree. Although Simers is a total SUC Homer it was a great article. Give Lame enough time and he will sink himself and the program.
Posters, what are your thoughts on the following?
Do you think it is better that USC went after Chow and did not get him or it would have been better for UCLA if his name was never even mentioned?
I think we can use what happened to our advantage in recruiting. It shows that SC can't get anything they want, that there's a program across town worth working for. Additionally, portraying SC as the school that just throws boat loads of money at guys to try and bring them to a bad situation, can help us in recruiting. I mean reflect on your own job, and tell me it wouldn't be tough to turn down an employer trying to double your salary.
Thanks for your work Jon. Great resource.
UCLAVES: Any time $C cannot get what $C wants is a good thing. To have $C want one of our staff, quite likely offer him more money than we could, and still not get him is a wonderful and public slam on $C.
UCLAVES: I think Chow will use all this attention towards him as an advantage with recruits.
Lets see if we can land some more big name fellas
UCLA can put the audio on their website easily.
