UCLA head coach Ben Howland admitted in Saturday’s post-game press conference that he regretted not introducing the zone defense earlier this season.
“It’s been very poor coaching on my part to not recognize that earlier,” Howland said. “It’s not something I want to do. But it’s something we need to do in order to be competitive.”
