This is huge for us.

Scout says Thompson already has 5 visits is his offical for sure?

Hadn't heard much about Murphy but his speed would be nice.

Well, you cannot be at two places at the same time. So if you're not good enough to be in the US Army All-American game, might as well spend your weekend at the best campus in US. This is not exactly an elite list of players, except Ward.

That's good. For those of us that aren't deep down in the weeds would you mind sharing what sport these visitors play, what position they play and what high school they're from?

Or, should we ask a reporter for that information?

Click on the players name and the link the REPORTER gave you provides you all of the player information. Try not to be so stupid next time you are an A-Hole.

Chairman of the NCAA Infractions Committee said:

Since USC has now heavily penalized their athletic programs with their stiff self-imposed penalties they placed on their men's basketball program (extra laps, removal of 1 scholarship (that rap dude)), we shall now remove ourselves from evaluating their football program.

The enticements provided to USC recruits, their payroll for their football players, and their overall institutional control has been met to our satisfaction.

Sincerely,
The NCAA Infractions Committee

5* or not, we need a couple of these big guys.

Ward reports a GPA of 3.0 (core) and 1650 out of 2400 for SATs. What happened to "scholar/athletes" being recruited, or am I just dreaming that athletes should be excellent students as well? Regular admits are over 4.0 GPA these days. Quite a disparity.

THE Basketball Sanctions PROVE that USC Football Did NOTHING Wrong.

The basis for the BBAll sanctions was a "USC Booster" gave OJ Mayo money while he was at USC. When Guillory went to the BBall offices and told Floyd OJ wanted to come to USC he technically became a "USC Booster".

Since Guillory "presumably" gave Mayo money from the NorCal agents hoping to sign OJ (this has not been proven in a court of law), Guillory is now a "USC Booster" giving OJ money $$$, even though Guillory is not a "USC Homer" (ala OU's Car Dealer booster) and the money $$$ was not given to boost USC's chances of landing Mayo but rather, THE SPORT AGENT'S chances of landing Mayo as a client. This is an important LEGAL DISTINCTION.

The NCAA Sanctions Committee in all their glory doesn't care that USC was not the "intended beneficiary" of the money give-a-way to OJ Mayo, all they care about is that it happened while Mayo was playing Basketball at USC at the world-reknown Galen Center.

Now, on to Reggie Bush. Lloyd Lake and Bret Micheals cannot be considered "USC Boosters", there is no evidence showing either has EVER set foot on the USC campus let alone that either was an "Intermediary" between Bush and USC. Instead, these are outside people trying to make money $$$. That is why the NCAA hasn't acted: these are not "USC Boosters", they can't even be loosely classified as a "USC Booster" like Guillory. CASE CLOSED.

could it be possible that BE REAL/JT4SUC is a typical trojan fan? They argue not about whether SUC did anything wrong but whether there is any evidence available to *show* that they did anything wrong. my question is - how do they live with themselves knowing they follow a team that consistently cheats, and instills that no-evidence ethic deeply into the kids they are *not* graduating? OJ anyone?

BE REAL, Lloyd Lake and Bret Michaels were in the SC lockerroom according to reports, and McNair, the RB coach, spent some time with them and Bush socially.

Also, Bush had a real nice pimped out Impala that he was driving, but then again, many USC players have been seen driving expensive cars lately...

I agree with you completely Newport... Dohn used to say that the athletes had to meet the same admissions standards as regular students. That is obviously false, but at the same time UCLA appears much more strict than other big time athletic schools... I've always wondered what standards were actually required for the athletes.

BobDaBruin said:

Just to clear up any confusion on admission standards mentioned by Newport Bruin and UCLABZ. All incoming students must meet minimum UC (University of California) requirements (which are MUCH higher than many universities). All Football players (or any athlete) being offered a scholarship must meet those minimum GPA and SAT requirements, just like any regular student. Keep in mind that the non-athlete applying to get into the engineering program is probably going to have substantially higher Grades/Test Scores than our next Right Guard, but both would have met the UC Requirements. I know for a fact of kids that had to audition to get into UCLAs theatre program, and their scores were on a par with many incoming athletes but still met the UC requirements. But just as we don't want the engineering student on stage entertaining us, we probably don't want most of the OL designing the next Micro-Circuit for Jet Fighter Aircraft - or your computer either!
