Doubting Thomas

In UCLA’s first matchup with Washington, the Bruins held star guard Isaiah Thomas to 4-of-11 shooting and 0-for-5 3-pointers.
What was the trick?

“We played zone the whole game, so basically it was our zone,” Howland said. “That was our first game we committed to playing zone for forty minutes. He missed a couple open shots – he’s shooting 27, 28 percent in conference from three. But I bet you look at his home games and that percentage is much higher.”
Howland is partly right.
It is higher – 29 percent.
