Weekly Answers, Pt. 1

Check out the first batch of answers for the week…

1) He Jon, If Trevor Bauer, and Gerritt Cole continue to progress, how high do they get drafted? – RayI would really be surprised if both weren’t top-15 picks. – Ray

2) If Drew Gordon is still on this team, are they struggling the same way they are right now? – RayThe team was, what, 2-6 with Gordon? He wasn’t the be-all, end-all. Maybe a few more wins, but Gordon’s presence also would’ve stunted Reeves Nelson’s growth.

3) I have always found it impossible to follow UCLA Baseball, is there a way I can listen to the games, or at least follow them through a site? – RayOn UCLABruins.com, they offer live audio streaming of all home games and select road games. This Sunday is the Dodgertown Classic at Dodger Stadium, with Vanderbilt and Oklahoma St. at 10 a.m. and UCLA/USC at 2 p.m. If you get to one game all year, this is a good one. It’s a pretty good deal: $5 with free parking, but tickets are pretty much only available at the UCLA and USC offices, or else the Ticketmaster fees can pile up. I think it’s $10 at the Dodger Stadium gate. UCLA plays Vandy on Friday and Okie State on Saturday, with Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer probably getting the nods.

4) What is your gut feeling on the position that Anthony Barr is going to play? – RayGut feeling is safety, but I would put him at a linebacker/defensive end hybrid.

5) Is the feeling that Mike Moser just isn’t up to playing at this level yet or has he been hurt or something? Do you think he’ll be a productive player for the Bruins in the future? – BruinBallQuite frankly, I think Moser is just a little scared, and fear leads directly to timidity. He hasn’t had a good year shooting the ball, and any basketball player will tell you that starts to weigh on you. I think he has a lot of raw athleticism, and I could see him starting down the road.
