EXCLUSIVE: Wade Yandall on Signing Day
On Signing Day:
"It was pretty cool - it was great to see Zumwalt and Dietrich Riley sign with UCLA. When those were a couple of guys who were there also. I think we have a great recruiting class coming in this year."
Are you excited to be blocking for a pair of running back recruits like Malcolm Jones and Jordon James?
"Most definitely. That's actually going to fire me up to play even harder, so that those guys can shine. The fiture we have at UCLA is going to be great."
Did you act like a fan of UCLA football today, glued to the television?
"I've always been a fan. I was at school all day, so I kind of just hung out. I just went on the internet, actually, and I was watching Coach Neuheisel's press conference. It was pretty interesting."
Was it even a big day for you?
"It was big, but at the same time, it was just another day. I know I get to continue to playing football, I get a great education at UCLA and I grew up a Bruin fan. But it was just another day, even though it was nice to see the guys who I'll be playing with. It was kind of overwhelming."

Three days after taking an official visit to USC and two days after telling Scout.com his commitment to UCLA was solid, DE Marquis Jackson from College of the Canyons gave a verbal commitment to USC.
"Yes, I committed to USC," said Jackson. "Something came up at UCLA and I had to find another school. And it will probably be a blessing because I really do want to play with my brother.
Jackson said he learned of the development with UCLA at about 11:30 a.m. and that's when he got together with his family, including his brother and USC defensive lineman, Malik Jackson, to discuss his desire to join his brother at USC.
"I wanted my brother to be a part of the discussion because I didn't want him to think I was intruding on his territory. He's been there for two years and wanted to make sure he was okay with it. He's happy for me. He wants me to go wherever I want. "And it's not like USC is a second choice for me. I really like USC, the coaches and I'm looking forward to being there. Not many people have an option to attend a school like USC."
In the next few days Jackson said he's going to get USC all of his paperwork/transcripts and begin the process of becoming a signee, not just a verbal
one that got away -
Jackson said "something came up at UCLA and I had to find another school."
That other school is suc. He didn't get into UCLA. Jon already said Jackson had no choice and couldn't sign with UCLA. You are university of second choice.
