High Turnover

UCLA is currently on a 1-3 skid, which followed a 4-1 spurt, due in large part to ball security issues. The Bruins have averaged more than 17 turnovers per game after a five-turnover effort in a 77-73 win over Stanford on Feb. 4.

In its 97-68 loss at Washington on Saturday, the team's biggest margin of defeat during Howland's tenure and its worst loss ever at Washington, UCLA committed 18 turnovers.

"A lot of times, it's poor decision-making on our own part," Howland said. "In the case of Saturday, guys were trying to drive and there was nothing there. That's what pressure will do to players. That's what a pressure defense wants you to do - it wants you to dribble.
