Instant Opinion: Jordan Zumwalt
UCLA's flipping of Jordan Zumwalt is the latest in what's been a major up-swing for Rick Neuheisel. At 6-4, 217 pounds, he has a big frame to add some weight before the season, and with Reggie Carter gone, the middle linebacker position is there for the taking.
Many consider Zumwalt the best linebacker on the west coast, and I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least fighting for playing time by year two.
Perhaps more importantly, this is the second major recruiting battle UCLA has won over Stanford, with the signing of Malcolm Jones.

Heimuli to Oregon.
Heimuli just signed w/ Oregon. Such a bummer.
Why are you not updating when recruits don't choose UCLA?
So, did we lose Heimuli? Tough loss.
Zumwalt was NOT considered best LB on West Coast. Not even BEST LB in Los Angeles Area...
Pullard and Shirley both rate higher...come on Jon, be honest.
And beating Stanford in recruiting, really???
Evaluating HS players is a very subjective matter.
I will take Zumwalt over pullard any day.
GREAT JOB BY CRN!!
of course....you HAVE to...just two days ago you were all pining for Pullard...as a lock...

Do your research Zumwalt is listed as an All american. Pullard and Shirley are great players but didn't make those lists. Zumwalt received every Defensive honor including California defensive player of the year!!
